Not thai will be going, but to anyone that is, Tickets for Wiggan away will be £30 a time.
The big news for tomorrow is that my route to the match will take me past the British Pole Dance Academy. I would not have expected it to be in Burslem but then I wouldn't have expected Spart to be the world's greatest exponent of the overhead kick. Life is full of surprises.

I'll probably arrive before you. Do you want the usual?
Wait until I get there. I've got a loyalty card and it's fully stamped so I think I'm entitled to a free one tomorrow.
Watching the Cricket World Cup Final a couple of weeks ago I wanted to do a thread on the back of that game however I was hit with Covid and didn't really have the energy to do so.
India were tournament favourites but if there's a nation that could upset those odds it's Australia. Poor abject performances prior to the tournament starting and during it they gradually started to improve and showed their team experience to grind through games and get a run together. The manner in which they handled the final was absolutely fantastic to watch, game management at its best. The Aussie captain David Warner's leadership during the tense final was interesting to watch.
Team Australia share a trait with the international German football squads of old, it's a term I refer to as 'spawn.'
Like Australia, Germany start off slow and ponderous before grinding results out in ugly fashion before they shift into this robotic momentum to win games, important games. The squads retain this experience, know how , how to grind out a result regardless of the opposition. It's not always via flair and creativity but this doggedness that exists within.
The Australian cricket side showed that doggedness in a hard fought match with their batsman Glenn Murray alone scoring 201* runs.
If you're still reading my thread ( thanks!) you're probably wondering what has this got to do with our beloved DCFC? As I watched the Cricket WC final and thought of the countless games I've watched of the German international football side there's a quality this Derby squad should have given the number of elder statesmen in the side but lacks. The leadership and game management control, the 'spawn' quality to see out games and win.
The BR match could be pointed to, to see out the win but as we move towards the heavy Christmas schedule and then the second half of the season I'd like to see the experienced pros show their knowledge, use their game management to control games. It'd be great if our captain can dictate how the game should be controlled in the middle of the pitch ( more so versus the stubborn sides that prove difficult to break down )
I mentioned Glenn Maxwell as he was an incredibly important player for Australia during the tournament, having started off really slowly Nathaniel Mendez-Lang is now showing to be our most important and clinical player.
We need some more to start shining through, use their experience and game management ( this can not be down to Warne alone , but he has shown his own naivety that needs work)
I can see PW's sides be in the Aussie cricket / German football form, incredibly strong sides with their athleticism over creativity winning matches by grinding out games where necessary. Here's to that 'spawn' quality growing in this side.

Wearing their traditional red and white national dress with a union flag?
I had thought of making a joke along those lines, but thought better of it. I knew it wouldn't be long though....

Rams 2-0 up at HT
U18s dominant in the first half. 2-0 at the break, goals from Hawkins & Wheeldon, right at the end
An interesting range of haircuts in the U18s. Not sure I entirely approve.
1-4. Impressive display.
Standouts for me, Jack Perry & Daj Brown.
Only saw the second half. Perry looked very good. I also liked Wheeldon.

I would suggest that less time on hair-styles, tattoos and the such like, and more time perfecting a decent first touch would be beneficial. At their age I was at Pirbright, pah! đâď¸

A blow, but on the bright side, a chance for players not called Washington to step up and claim their place
