Fixtures look decent for December too

Honestly it's been a really mature season from us so far, it hasn't been perfect - GK situation, we've had bad injuries, teams playing to nullify us, etc but we've stepped up and put in solid & mature performances when we've had to, even if a little uninspiring.

Saliba being back has been huge and Rice is looking worth every penny.

Hopefully this more measured approach will also leave us with something in the tank towards the back end of the season where we traditionally struggle. The fact that we'll have players coming back in the New Year not having played many minutes can hopefully mean they can hit their stride at the right time to make important contributions.

Been great results wise so far. Can't help thinking we've ground out a few too many results from poor/average performances. I know they say that's a sign of champions but it's also often a sign of a side that will see a string a poor results for exactly the same level of performance down the line.

City will almost certainly hit 2nd gear as the season goes on but we've got an excellent chance again of being in the mix despite a couple of weaknesses in the first 11.

Liverpool look likely to be our main opponent for second or a surprise title push.

A major positive for us is getting top of the CL group with a game to spare, over the festive period that extra games rest for the first team and some competitive football for the reserves could be crucial.

Just doing you guys a service, you were giddy last year then got knocked out of Europa and blew the title with a home draw to Southampton, a loss away at Forest and by finally being forced to play Man City.

It will be similar this year, so lower expectations now

We knew we weren't favourites last year, we know we aren't favourites this year. Excuse us for being happy to see improvements.

Also, this is ironic coming from a spurs fan, no?. 2/3 of your fanbase thought you were in a title challenge a few weeks ago. The other 1/3 was cursing daniel levy, despite him being the best thing that's happened to your club.

This isn’t about Spurs who finished 8th last year - with our unparalleled injury crisis we just need to get back into Europe - doesn’t matter which competition.

Arsenal are all fur coat and no knickers though, they will wilt once the pressure is on like they always do under Lego head.

I will leave you to your echo chamber now

Arsenal have had injuries too, we just don't cry about it like you do. And none of what you said changes that your fanbase was doing the very thing you just criticised us for.

Funny, Lego head has still won more trophies than your chicken on a basketball club has in the last 15 years.

Where are you going? It's funny how you start a pointless argument then facked off as soon as you knew you were out of your depth.

City are the favourites lads. Always will be.

However, they do look a bit out of sorts this year. KdB returning will be huge for them if he hasn't already semi retired.

Even more so than usual, I mean. They were facking shat defensively Vs Chelsea of all teams, which is very unlike them. Don't think they've won a top 6 game yet other than utd.

Obviously a few will get carried away but the general feeling amongst Arsenal fans is that we look solid albeit are lacking a cutting edge. I don't think the giddiness of last year is evident this year as we look more functional rather than vibrant.

Last year felt more like a title charge as we were playing great football with a young team and flew out of the blocks. As someone else said, we look different this season, more mature. It might not be enough to win the league but following up on last season with another top 3 finish and a QF CL exit is hardly a disaster.

It’s going backwards though, from 2nd to third?

At some point City will put 10,11,12 wins together and the rest of the league will fall behind and not recover - it’s what they do everytime, they are amazing.

They are at home to us on Sunday so that will be win 2 - we will be going there with a RB and LB at CB, 2 of our 3 first choice midfielders missing and zero worthy bench options.

4-1 is my prediction and it will probably be the start of their run

The thing is strike, this time last year you were still saying Spurs would finish ahead of Arsenal and we wouldn’t finish top 4…
