Good job they went down to 10 men, could have been a different result otherwise, defence was poor, will cost us.

You don't have a clue do you?

They are a young team that needs to learn how to play against 10 men, it was a valuable learning curve that they came through that hopefully DF will use to build from.

Up to the sending off they were comfortably the best team, they then seemed to try to walk it in as though beating 10 men was going to be easy.

You go on hating the team you profess to support, enjoy your ulcer!

Damn it Ipswich won, and Leicester(injury time winner for them) really frustrating...still at least we won !!

Imagine winning 8 out 10, should have been 10, and moaning.

And probably better than the 3 of the bottom 4 of the Premier League.

Another fantastic 3-points result. At this time, that’s all that matters. Well done DF and all at Leeds United. Thanks for doing the thread Earl and go well all👍.

I just wanted to add that I look at today's result and midweek as a great response to only drawing away at Rotherham. A lot of pressure on the players to get 2 wins this week and they accomplished that so hats off to them.

It's easy to get greedy and think because we didn't add a couple more goals against 10 men then that's a stck to beat the team with but let's not forget our side has had important players away on international duty slogging their guts out aswell as 3 games in 8 days so I am almost certain fatigue set in a bit in those last 20 minutes against fresher Boro players all be it a player down.

A week's rest now and then Blackburn away which I think will see one of our more emphatic and energised performances. Can't wait.

Delighted with another three points. Elland Road has become the fortress we need it to be. That front three scoring on a regular basis. Just got to keep our levels high and look to go on a big run of wins , get within a few points and eventually teams ahead could buckle come April. Do think we need to do some business in January. Easy to think you have enough but better to make a statement and have options especially at the back.

Missing the point,if Boro had 11 men on the pitch don't think we'd have won, defence was all over the place

Defence is our weak point for sure. Attack wise we look terrific. We could use a couple of additions at the back if they're better than what we have.

What point am I missing, I'm showing you that them not getting a red they might have won, but if we'd not got 2 we might have won as well!..

It's got nothing to do with 11v10 or 11v11, because if they'd had 11 than we might have scored even more!..

Funny how things in life work out, but sometimes like most weeks these days they don't work out the way you seem to want them to, do they?..

Hows about supporting the team and give them credit for what they are doing?..

Dumb question because the next game things go wrong you'll be here again!..

As usual Germany you don't make any sense

Funny, I've thought that of you a long time!..

But my making no sense isn't dragging the team down for going on a winning run like yours does!..

Even a 12 year can see that the dynamics of a football match change when a player gets sent off.
It's naive to say the least to assume that our approach of pressing so far up the pitch and theirs of sitting so far back to soak it up would have been the same if Dijksteel hadn't been sent off.
We need to learn how to manage 11 vs 10 scenarios. Both in terms of being the majority and minority, it was clear that the mature heads in Middlesbrough's side like Howson had an advantage there. I think that's what comes from experience.
Something for Daniel to work on. It isn't necessarily a defence issue. Our defence isn't normally as suspect as you suggest.

Leicester, West Brom and Bristol City have conceded more goals than us, we have taken 25 out of the last available 30 points and are thee form team of this division.
Not bad for a team with a suspect defence, yes we could improve the team but we could also improve on some of our so called supporters as well.

yes we could improve the team

^^^

That's the point. We have a very good team.
But every team can get better. Dismissing any
weaknesses we have would be a mistake.

Bielsa said during his time the key is replenishing,
replacing, improving upon the squad. No matter
how successful. If you don't, things break down.

We have a fantastic chance of going straight back
up. To shrug off weaknesses when we can improve
and strengthen would waste that chance.

Hopefully, the 49ers have learnt from the mistakes
of the recent past and they do everything they can
to replace and improve upon our squad. And make
us as strong as possible across the park.

Leicester won't sit back in the transfer window.
Doubt Southampton or Ipswich will either.
Nor should we. Add three to four quality players
to what we already have and we'll destroy teams.

All the times people were saying things against the 49ers, I said before the season started I think they're sorting things out in the background, they got the club and look what happened, aswell as these dumbass deals that took lots away from what they might have been planing, they brought in some decent players!..

I don't think unless there is something in the background that'll hold them back, I don't think they'll hang around in January, I wouldn't be suprised if they haven't already got a list ready, the same as some'll be looking at our players!..

All I'm worried about is them not being able to hold on to our top players and adding to them!..

Saying the passed people did wrong, that'll be because they didn't have enough to do what people always scream for, but that'll be a liitle problem for the 49ers because I don't think they want to do a Bates with us!..

Four into three won't go.

Ipswich have really thrown a spanner in the works of this season. Any other season, Leicester, Southampton and ourselves would go straight back up, the rest of the division are pretty dire.
I'm a worrier and next season, if we don't go up concerns me.
We have to come up this year.

Lowfields, not sure if you've seen the table so I thought I'd put it up for you!..

https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/championship/table

In the top 6 there are goals against 3 teams worst than us and 2 better!..

So your making no sense, because we might not have the best defense in the div but we sure as hell don't have the worst!..

There are 20 teams worst than us!..

It's hardly a mature and reasoned argument the guy makes is it Germany, what do you think?
Just disagree with everything everyone else says. Sad really.
