We will be playing to a full house against a team without a manager. I expect them to come at us from the start but if we can hold out for the first 20 minutes, I think we have too much in our locker.
My concern is that in the past couple of games, we have been a little careless with the ball and seem to rely on our front four to outscore our opponents if we make mistakes. We gave away cheap goals against Boro and Swansea. If we do it at a hostile Stadium of Light, I'm not so sure the Sunderland defence will be so generous.
That said, I think Sunderland's expansive style will suit us better than facing a low block a la Stoke or Birmingham.
2-1 to the mighty Whites, Jack Clarke to score a penalty against his former club, Summerville and Piroe to bring home the points.

Just tell them that there are more important matters you have to attend to back home and have to catch that train.

Tough game to call. We've not played that well away from home recently but thankfully the opposition are pretty poor most weeks so we get away with it. If we keep Clarke and Roberts quiet then I think we'll be ok. Tough test for Gray and Spence though.

Since the 25th October we've won 8, drawn 1 and lost 1!..

Some say we're as good as the top 2 and the way we've been playing, we shouldn't fear anyone!..

Fear the opponent and we'll lose, and that's why I think we'll be alright, because I don't think this team have fear in them!..

I think Sunderland know enough about us and I expect a hard game, but it won't be the first and no way will it be the last, so I'm not giving any scores but I am expecting a win!..

It’s a pickem for me. They’re a good side. Play some good stuff. Have been better than their results suggest. God knows why they sacked Mowbray who’d done a great job in my view but this will be a tough game. They’ll try and play through our press and be dangerous in transition. Will be down to who takes their chances… but then isnt it always.

Another hard championship match and undoubtedly we have to be on it which I have every confidence in Farke and the boys producing another crucial victory. A tight affair but Leeds to nick this by a solitary goal.

In my opinion they made a mistake sacking Mowbray, and I hope we can take advantage of a good side that has lost its leader.

Feel a bit more confident

Spence in for Byram. Is he ready for a full game? I am a little concerned about the drop off if he has to be subbed. Unfortunately, Ayling and Coops have made mistakes in every game they have played, but there is no-one else to replace a defender.

Not sure why a big game like this isn't our fixture on Boxing day instead of Preston but even so I'm thinking this will be as hard as Leicester away but with a similar satisfying result except more goals so I'll go 2-1 to Leeds.

These pre match nerves are what it's all about. I don't care who we are playing, whether we are expecting to win or lose, the butterflies are always there.
