Strange decision to extend so soon after his transfer
How much was Udogie in the window?
Yes of course though we haven’t increased his contract to spread the transfer fee payment out - he was signed 18 months ago, this is just a contract extension of a player who has made a fantastic start with us and looks like he will be our LB for years to come
Well, and ?
I will bet your club and every other club in the league are amortizing contracts over the maximum period available contract permitting.
It is not a sin, it is FFP and economics.
Glad we are doing it
can’t beat ‘em join’em
Worth every penny unlike Mudryk imo
He looked terrible against west ham and made a huge error for one goal. But it's not like spurs fans to get carried away is it
Great article
Spells the name of the player the article is about wrongly.
Completely clueless about the details of Udogie's transfer and contract.
Yeah Spurs needed to spread the rest of his £12m transfer fee over 6vyears to make FFP ends meet.
"Odogie"
Must try harder. D minus.

West Ham United London. It's as if they're planning franchises all round the world
Embarrassing.
Who is this clown?
And what's he doing on our notice board?
FGS ... ODogie?
O'Dogie is an Irish wolf hound!
Jeeeezzz...what a clown!
"india foxtrott alpha, romeo kilo alpha !"
Yeah...he's a farrrrTTa alright!
OP wanted to make a point that they are not only side to employ the new tactics that HIS club first used 🤣
No i think you will find clubs have been amortizing over 5 years as a norm.
The reason clubs have not done it for longer as it may have been seen as not in the best interests to put the playing staff on such long contracts.
The only difference is that the ownership were prepared to take the risk, it was not against the rules , it was within them. the rules are about to be brought in line with European regulation.
A low IQ article made by a low IQ poster.

Good lord, what an ill-informed take this article is. It's just so woefully inaccurate. Udogie's extension has absolutely nothing to do with payment terms.
You do realise that you can still hand out long contracts, right? Even if this were a first contract, which it isn't, it could be 50 years but as long as the transfer fee is balanced over a 5 year period, it doesn't matter what the length is.
To even assume the same thing of a contract extension is just laughable.
Does the op actually know what amortization means?
Gentleman i think i have explained every thing very clearly.
No inaccuracy, Cfc have been vilified for handing out 6/7 & 8 year contracts.
The fact the club took the gamble to do so is just that a gamble, not an abuse of any regulation. fact check it!
Now when a club like Spurs hands out a 6 year contract its fine ?
Oh sorry an extension ? are you serious call it what you will if it makes you feel better, the club have given the player a six year contract an extension of his existing contract..
But it is a contract, its not an cover tiled patio
Severe case of hypocrisy going down im affraid
