Everton want £100m for Branthwaite eh?

I’m sure we can knock them up to £110m

Just had a quick Google and Amad is apparently near being match fit. However, there are several Championship clubs, including Sunderland, interested in taking him on loan in January. I hope that ETH has the opportunity to take a look at him in the first team before making a decision on whether to loan him out.

Can’t see us getting another RW until we’ve at least got rid of 2-3 of our existing RW players.

I wonder what EtH thinks of Antony having demanding the club pay an absolute fortune on him. He’s obviously an intelligent man who analysis the game and players far more than any of us but it was obvious to anyone pretty quickly how poor Antony was and EtH had him at Ajax!? If EtH has any chance of staying at the club we’ve gotta stop giving him any say on transfers!

Ancelotti has said they won’t be getting any CBs this winter (haven’t they coped with Alaba before his recent injury anyway).

Doesn’t Kubo like playing centrally, or at least often cuts into central areas. Definitely isn’t the kind of winger who hugs the touchline.

It would be very foolish of him to loan him out bearing in mind what we have seen from our attackers! Very foolish. These guys can't score in a brothel.

But this manager also once was starting Maguire and Lindlelof ahead of Varane citing rubbish like Philosophy.

I wonder if Ratcliffe and co will change stance on the Greenwood situation?

He looks fantastic in Spain right now. Alternatively what could we get by selling him, I’d imagine a lot less if our public stance is we want rid.

Yeh, I really hope that he takes a look at Amad before considering a loan move.

We have got Forest on the 30th and then Wigan in the cup on 8th January. Hopefully he can get some minutes off the bench against Forest or perhaps before, with a view to starting against Wigan.

Interesting choice if true.

Watched Kubo at the start of the season he was outstanding. Ran the show in their game against Madrid. He's pretty small though. Might be one of those that struggles to adapt to the physicality of the PL...

We should really be in for Tobido or someone similar...

If we were to terminate his contract, how would we do that without buying him out? I can't see that he has done enough to warrant sacking him. So we would have to pay him a large chunk of his contract and lose out on a transfer fee. What a mess!

I think at this point ETH is a dead man walking. So imagine that the likely outcome will be that Sancho will outlast him and then the new manager will try and get a tune out of Sancho. And probably fail.

If this club proceeds with this, it just shows how rotten we are.

I never supported this Sancho situation, it is bigger than just manager vs player. Although the player pulled no trees, he is young and still talented, which left us with a bit of bargaining power to at least get something. To get to a stage where we are making nothing, rather we are actually losing more money for a talent like Sancho is criminal.

All stories from very questionable sources no offence Elvis.

With Amad I'd give him a go and loan or sell Pellistri who I don't believe will ever be good enough.

Yeh, irrespective of what we think of Sancho and how he has conducted himself, we have played this one poorly. I can't see how he can play again under ETH. I also can't see anyone paying a big fee and his ridiculous wages.

I was happy when we signed him - I thought he would be a good signing. But the contract we gave him is ridiculous.

Yeh, that's why the title says gossip. Just something to discuss.

I think I actually prefer Pellistri to Antony, but that's not saying a lot. I can't see the sense in loaning Amad without acutally taking a look at him first. He would have to offer loads to be better than Antony.

We won’t terminate Sancho’s contract, it would cost us tens of millions of pounds and f-ck up our FFP.

There was an article yesterday (I forget where from) that wrote about how under Ratcliffe United will try to avoid mistakes such as Sancho by being far tougher. It basically said if players fail they will be given the choice of being banished to the youth set up to rot or are allowed to move on but must be realistic in getting lower wages. You’d like to think players value their career over rotting away but getting money but each players different, no idea how true the story is.

In Sancho's case, we are seemingly dealing with a lad who prioritises staying up and playing on the PS5 over getting a good night's sleep ready for training. He is probably more than happy to train with the youth team whilst pocketing his money. He has got a £90m contract. He doesn't have to really try ever again his his whole life. Jobs fecked.

Which is very sad to see. I guess moving forward we just have to do far better research into these players to see if they have the right mentality to play at a club our size as well as the club being run properly.

Maybe Sancho would have done better if the club wasn’t such a mess but I also feel he’s also simply too weak mentally and his unprofessionalism at his 2 previous clubs should have warned us from buying him.

Kubo. I used to destroy noobs with him on fifa ultimate team a while back with his future stars card.

100m for a CB? Fack off. we should be looking at unknowns for pennies or promoting from youth.

This Jim fella given too much credit. Nothing about him excites me. Correct me if I am wrong, none of his sport clubs are a success? I also read he took a winning cycling team and they are no longer winners

I was always against us signing Sancho as I wasn’t that impressed in the very limited times I had seen him play, especially for the fee and rumoured wages.

That said, I would rather have Sancho playing on the right side instead of Antony. For all Sancho’s faults he is much more productive than Antony.

ETH got this one wrong for that reason alone, but then you can’t have players turn up to training late and not be putting the effort in. Bit of a catch 22 really.

He’s more productive than Antony but he’s far easier to play against out of possession also. We do need productivity in attack probably more than work rate right now though.

Sancho is clearly far more talented than Antony (but he’s still been massively underwhelming) but if he can’t apologise for calling the manager a liar and for generally having terrible time management then he can f-ck off. One of the most important areas EtH has tried to improve is the professionalism of the team and he’ll undermine that if he brings back Sancho without an apology. The fact Sancho to this day refuses to do so tells me he’s a little sh-t that has no place at this club and he’s done f-ck all at the club to justify not needing to apologise.
