He blatantly handled, so if it were given, there'd have been no complaints. At the same time, we would have been unlucky to concede such a penalty because a player slipped and was trying to break his fall. It's not like he blocked a shot with it, or tripped a player through on goal.

I get you point but it wouldn't be unlucky, it would be because of the rules, which Mets be honest are ridiculous. That shouldn't be a pen but under current laws and going by what we see on the pitch, it's a blatant pen and it boggles the mind how it wasn't given.

The "rules" are exactly why it wasn't given, as the PGMOL explained after the match saying "'Odegaard's arm is moving towards the body and not the ball as he goes down." The rules are why they didn't rule the incident as deliberate, even though it "looked" like a penalty.

Showing they got conned. He slipped but didn't fall over realised the ball was going to Mo so handled it away from him.
It's clear as day the slip wasn't bad enough for him to do that motion, he did it to stop Mo being in on goal. Should have been a red card too
Question is, why were so many of our players slipping?

Sure. So "clear as day" that not just the VAR review, but the post-match PGMOL review saw if differently. It was certainly a very clumsy incident (and I'd have accepted the penalty decision), but to claim Odegaard "handled it away from" Salah just seems like your Liverpool lens talking. It was clearly inadvertent.
Had it beem given, it'd basically just have been a fluke penalty from nothing.

The argument that it was not a penalty is almost from an alternate dimension. It's that ridiculous.

I think it's actually happened to us before, Cedric slipped and handled the ball against man united. No pen given

Was different because Cedric's hand was in the floor IIRC

He blatantly handled, so if it were given, there'd have been no complaints. At the same time, we would have been unlucky to concede such a penalty because a player slipped and was trying to break his fall. It's not like he blocked a shot with it, or tripped a player through on goal.

I get you point but it wouldn't be unlucky, it would be because of the rules, which Mets be honest are ridiculous. That shouldn't be a pen but under current laws and going by what we see on the pitch, it's a blatant pen and it boggles the mind how it wasn't given.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The "rules" are exactly why it wasn't given, as the PGMOL explained after the match saying "'Odegaard's arm is moving towards the body and not the ball as he goes down." The rules are why they didn't rule the incident as deliberate, even though it "looked" like a penalty.

Showing they got conned. He slipped but didn't fall over realised the ball was going to Mo so handled it away from him.
It's clear as day the slip wasn't bad enough for him to do that motion, he did it to stop Mo being in on goal. Should have been a red card too

Of course the PGMOL saw it differently.
The argument that it was not a penalty is almost from an alternate dimension. It's that ridiculous.
