‘Doesn't matter anyway. Dodgy decisions shouldn't be the way you want to win games.’

That’s a bit wild-he was offside-it wouldn’t have been given anyway. Hardly a dodgy decision.

I mean if it was given as a pen

They didn’t need to go that far back to check for offside.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It took ages to come to that decision though

‘It was the correct decision after the fact but not during the game’

Even if they awarded the penalty, VAR reviews the build up and offside would have been given-which is the point.

I would have wanted a penalty, but we’ve seen before with Tavernier at Aberdeen that penalties like that aren’t given.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
VAR gave the ref the chance to review the handball and said no. Don't think the offside would have been spotted.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
They review if they think it’s a penalty, and then review the build up. Collum apparently didn’t think it was a penalty anyway, but it still wouldn’t have been given as they would have to have given him as offside.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

The handball rules are a joke too

Like I’ve said a few times, it’s an irrelevance as it would never have been given anyway. That wasn’t why you lost today. Dessers, Cantwell, Balogun and Goldson are bigger reasons than a penalty that was never getting awarded.

Oh absolutely. I'd love to have Kyogo. Without him you'd struggle

I'm not saying a dodgy decision is how celtic won but rather I wouldn't have wanted to win that way

Does anyone remember all the pens against Celtic when VAR was first introduced?

Does anyone remember the five or six incidents were Goldson handled the ball inside his own box? And nothing was given..?

I'm sure Rangers and their fans were clamouring to the authorities to give their ill gotten points back to the teams that are deserving of them, in the interests of fairness and justice for all.

Think the most salient point is this bit:

‘If the experienced SFA official had deemed it to be a handball then no penalty would have been given as he would then have checked the attacking phase of play and seen that Sima had been offside when Lundstram supplied him.’

Anyway-bar about 15 mins before the end of the first half after Walsh had gone off, and after Rangers scored we were comfortably the better team which genuinely surprised me.

It's an impossible job. You're supposed to see everything at once. Then VAR appears to add some help and makes it 'worse'.

Anytime humans are involved their will be mistakes. It's our forte.

We are never supposed to beat you. You are paying the most expensive manager in Scotland to do just that.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We are but do you think 17% less is that significant?

On paper our squad is worth more though I'd argue that is simply due to the rash of new contracts dished out to existing players and it is not necessarily real.

Rangers are reputedly paying several players way more than our top earner. I know these sites with salary info are dubious but they seem backed up by fan sites - the 11 on the park are probably paid more than Celtic's 11?

I've read what you posted in that last paragraph in various places. Don't know how true it is, but I've seen it.

It was also a clear penalty on Turnbull

He wasn't offside as flagged
----------------------------------------------------------------------
But if you rewind 10 mins you could find something else
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Well I demand 10 minutes of audio

The non penalty incident? Where did play restart from? If as I think it did it was with Hart taking a free kick from the edge of the box then clearly offside had been given. If it was a bye kick then we have something to discuss.

Funny how after asking for audio, we now know it was decided it wasn’t a pen.

Offside wasn’t considered.

So how did we get VAR offside lines in second half and communication at that point it was offside…

Rangers ask SFA to release VAR audio after being denied penalty.

Sky Sports, who were broadcasting the fixture, revealed later in the match the reason for the penalty not being given was because Abdallah Sima was offside in the buildup
However, Ibrox boss Philippe Clement questioned the lack of gesture from the referee signalling that at the time.

The club are now seeking clarity over the incident and have contacted the Scotish FA.

A Rangers spokesperson said: “Rangers have asked the Scottish FA to make the VAR audio available to the club to understand why no penalty was awarded despite a clear handball by Celtic’s Alastair Johnston.

“The club is keen to understand the process that led to that decision being made as it was not made public at the time, nor communicated to our team.

“We also understand Sky, as the league’s official broadcaster, is deeply unhappy and confused with the situation. Their panel spent half-time in agreement Rangers should have been awarded a penalty, unaware of any offside check. Again, this only surfaced in the second half.

“Rangers remains advocates of VAR, but there must be significantly more transparency for it to be successful in Scotland

You know what Renegade? Having read everything you have said I whole heartedly agree

Celtic should have finished with 8 players. Rangers should have got a penalty. Celtic's goal shouldn't have stood. Every decision went Celtic's way. None went Rangers way.

Get it right fvckin roon ye. Ram that game so far up your arrse that Kyogo's goal hits your tonsils. Up ye. Bitter angry little man

Yaaaaaasssssss
