can u give him 2 more windows in the transfer market before getting rid plz? just 2, not asking for much, like 8 9 months more.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
2 more windows seems fare.
At the very least let him work under a degree of football competence. Just wonder what a top DoF in tandem with Eth's coaching will create. If by then we are still feeling cheated by watching Utd then changes may be necessary, until then it is all part of the mess created by the Glazer ownership.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Are you his agent...
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Nope. Just someone sick to stomach of seeing no difference from a managerial change, all it achieves is introduce more squad bloat and presents even more of a challenge to successive managers. They are being prepared to fail without a forward looking plan.
Why can't we start by sticking with a coach, build a squad and hope it works? Nothing else before this has worked under the Glazers!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Because he's crap and we lose most weeks. Maybe it's that eh?
You want to stick with him for no other reason than you don't want to admit you got it wrong.
14 losses in 28 games. Disastrous cup and European campaign. Less goals than Luton, Burnley and Everton.
Takes a big person to admit they were wrong. Too many fans are willing to ride this one into the depths of hell out of pure stubbornness though.
I got it wrong. I wanted ETH to replace Ole and he's not good enough. Made my mind up 6/7 weeks ago and nothing since had changed my mind. In fact I only feel like my opinion is being proven correct.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He’s just trolling and doesn’t believe what he’s saying because even if we don’t compare other clubs and even if we believe the Glazers are to blame for everything, Ten Hag is doing worse than any of our other managers post SAF bar perhaps Moyes.
So to keep him just because some posters have sacking fatigue is wrong. All most of us want is a manager who can get the best out of what they’re dealt with. Ten Hag is breaking unwanted records every week and now he’s somehow achieved a miracle and that is to convince some supporters that 9 losses in the league before Christmas should be the new accepted normal.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not one person thinks that.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
52, Robb does not understand football, that is why he's hiding behind a filter. Hiring and firing, in his world of village idiots, equals success by ignoring the main component - an incompetent ownership who has regressed a football superpower into a laughing stock. The buck stops with the owners, they have a track record of failure at the biggest club on the planet with with a licence to virtually print money. The institution is surviving despite their every effort to destroy the football club!

Nope, it doesn't mean that at all. He did well last season, we've been poor a lot of this, but have been hampered by injuries. Ivs said I would give him until the end of the season. It bears little resemblance to what you say.
Nobody can state this is good enough now and that change would be a travesty.
I very much hope he can pull it out of the fire but I very much doubt he can now.
I do think he's a good manager but possibly it's a case of right manager, wrong time.
If Ineos are given the authority to make decisions I’m not sure we’ll sack him. But if we start to drift away from top 5 the Glazers will probably pull the plug, as is tradition.

Every club has injuries. The managers job is to make what he puts on the pitch (still very expensive and supposedly decent enough players) play to some sort of decent standard rather than hope for moments of magic from his gun players.
Give him till the end of the season? How is that going to make things any better?

No one will succeed if we hire, fire, bloat the squad even more!
Someone has to take a long term view for a change and see out the project, at best we are inconsistent. Inconsistency can disappear with the addition of the right players, a tweak here and there. What is clear the squad lacks the right depth, injuries have not helped, recruitment has been woeful too.
If we fire him now or even at season close the new manager will need financial backing, the bloat still remains, and because of this there will come another point in time where Eth's successor will face the same scrutiny. This vicious cycle of hiring and firing has to end because it is causing long term damage. There is no guarantee Jim will get to achieve what he wants before full ownership either.

It’s also why clubs don’t like sacking managers in the middle of a season. Because usually the men they want aren’t available.

If they do want Graham Potter now might be the best chance to bring him in with barely any games until
feb and also the chance to buy a player or two

Non of us can know yet what Jim will be thinking he has watched it all just the same as we have, his team will be reading forums and looking for the general opinion to coincide with their own.
At the minute this is failure the question is where they lay the blame for the failure, I think there are divisions in the squad and ETH is struggling with it, I don’t think his downfall will be the immediate results but his man management handling ego driven top stars which is a requisite of any Manchester United manager plus understanding on recruitment the level of player needed to move forward which isn’t dubious Dutch league signings at huge inflated cost.

Good question Robb, who indeed
I think that given they’ll be focusing mainly on restructuring things behind the scenes ahead of the summer, that getting a new manager in at this stage won’t be high on the agenda. But that probably won’t mean much if the Glazers exert their influence and we sack him and get an interim.

When you spend 1.5 billion there is no escaping the immediate, they will be looking at ETH very closely, association with failure is not an option, that’s not to say they won’t give immediate support and look at the whole picture but for the manager there are certain basic expectations and standards.

I do think he's a good manager but possibly it's a case of right manager, wrong time.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No one will succeed if we hire, fire, bloat the squad even more!

Without replying "Anyone", who do you want as manager? Bearing in mind the Unuted job seems like a career ended for any manager.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Why should he answer that you clown! It is not his job to state who should be next united manager be
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Why should he go out of his way to say a manager should be sacked without suggesting a new manager?
Nothing wrong with that request, because the question nobody seems to have an answer for.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It’s also why clubs don’t like sacking managers in the middle of a season. Because usually the men they want aren’t available.

feb and also the chance to buy a player or two

If Ineos are given the authority to make decisions I’m not sure we’ll sack him. But if we start to drift away from top 5 the Glazers will probably pull the plug, as is tradition.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Non of us can know yet what Jim will be thinking he has watched it all just the same as we have, his team will be reading forums and looking for the general opinion to coincide with their own.

I think that given they’ll be focusing mainly on restructuring things behind the scenes ahead of the summer, that getting a new manager in at this stage won’t be high on the agenda. But that probably won’t mean much if the Glazers exert their influence and we sack him and get an interim.

Elderly guy, lives in France, done loads of articles confirming he knows about older United players. Nice to everyone and when he sacks Ten Hag he’ll never be suspected …

When you spend 1.5 billion there is no escaping the immediate, they will be looking at ETH very closely, association with failure is not an option, that’s not to say they won’t give immediate support and look at the whole picture but for the manager there are certain basic expectations and standards.

Perhaps (unless I’m missing one of your devilish puns here) but I’m reliably informed it’s the glazers who make managers bad so if we have a new regime perhaps a new manager with new ideas will flourish
