This time last year I would have been totally against Potter coming to United but after watching this team this season looking like the worst football team I've ever seen in my life with clueless yet egomaniac fraud of a manager , I say Potter in!!!!!
I'd be astounded if INEOS has formed such fixed ideas about the new coach and assistant when they haven't yet started their assessment of the sporting side of the club.
Secondly, what would qualify Rooney for this position? He has so far not performed particularly well in management at a lower level. Why not bring in someone who is marked by coaching talent? Michael Carrick or Kieran McKenna if you want someone who knows the club.
I think it’s a fantastic idea. Please happen.

I get you my guy! You are saying "what could be worse?" Well unfortunately it can get much worse! If you cast your mind back to the days of Moyes the fans said the same, the days of LVG the fans said the same and even towards the end of the Jose era the fans said the same... so yes it can get worse... a lot worse!

The above is a valid point until it isnt, you have to keep in mind the board has already tried the "tried and tested approach" LVG and Jose have achieved more than 99% of managers can only dream of achieving yet they fell on their face at United. Moyes knew and knows the league better than any manage active at the moment and don't forget over the years since SAF United have had many highly rated number 2's along side Jose, ETH now etc.
So maybe this crazy move against the grain is a final throw of the dice?
Rooney, Evra and giggs dream management team.
This is why I don’t bother with twatbook.
JA606 is more than enough for stupid ideas.
Would be hilarious if we went from ETH to potter and wazza. No way that ends well

The chief problem was that the Board simply went out for big names without being guided by sporting strategy. LVG and Mourinho failed in part because they were taking over a team that was set up to play different football from the methods they used, and didn't have the ability (due to lack of know-how as well as not unlimited budgets) to recruit the players they needed in the timeframe they were going to be afforded. It's still the case that you're going to be more successful if you have a talented coach whose methods and style are a good fit for the club and available players. We have failed with talented coaches; are you now proposing that we try talentless coaches as a last resort?
This is up there with wanting Ole as sporting director.
Rooney in his short time as manager has managed to take Birmingham from 6th to 20th.
What could go wrong?

How about:
Ole - sporting director
Gary Neville - head coach
Rooney - assistant manager
Giggs - head of HR
Havent we gone down this Cul De Sac before with Ole?
If some United fans want a old legend back in the management team I think Roy Keane would be a better option that Wazza. Certainly a lot more entertaining with the attitudes of most of the current players. He'd still also be a complete disater for United.
Serioulsy though, does anybody really thik that INEOS ears would have pricked up this morning with the news that Wazza got the sack from a Championship side after a handful of terrible games. And do you not think that INEOS dont have an actual plan of their own in place already when things get ratified?

Why does he get a promotion?
Let’s face it… the Ineos deal has made it even easier for the media to peddle nonsense to the masses.

What I find most interesting about this is a lot of fans are totally convinced INEOS are football gurus who know every problem United is having right now and have the magic pill to solve every problem the day they walk in.
I suspect things under them are going to be very bumpy and I don’t expect any on the pitch or off it for that matter for the next few seasons. As fans we just have to endure and hope this finally is some light at the end of a very dark last 10yrs but it’s by no means guaranteed to get any better.
I'd only take Rooney if it was to play upfront instead of Martial.
