he would be a good signing, definitely better than what you have and one i always thought could end up at either of us on loan
----------------------------------------------------------------------
From watching the OF game Celtic fans have had a taste of what it’s been like for Rangers playing with Dessers this season. He just seems to lack any basic key attributes to play at this level. Plus he gets caught offside at least 5 times a game and he has an awful habit of constantly moaning at the ref looking for non existent fouls that he went out of his way to manufacture.
The fact we seem to be pursuing Batshuayi when we have already signed Fabio Silva is very encouraging. It means that rather than having to rely on a dud like Dessers week in week out he will either be punted or put straight to the back of the queue.
Theres no guarantees any of this will work but I will be super impressed by Clement if we can ship out Lammers and bring in Silva +1 other striker. And if that striker is Batshuayi then I’d be pretty content we will be in a much better place than we were first half of the season.
Only a winger and a midfielder then required to complete a great window.
We can dream..
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I dont think Silva will be Clements preferred choice up top, I think it will be more likely to play wide.
Getting rid of Lammers would be like a new signing.

Or even as a 10 off a central striker?
Cantwell has blown hot and cold this season. The OF game was one of his worse games of the season. So many touches every time he got the ball.....
Again Clement has shown he wont tolerate that sort of thing if he has options.

Possibly, for games that Cantwell isnt playing there. Assume he will cover Sima away at the AFCON.
and then will cover all 4 positions depending on who we bring in up top.
I think Cantwell has done pretty well since being moved into the 10 tbf.

Wouldnt be the worst move for Tavs or maybe even the club to be fair.
Hes 32 and if it is the Saudis then they are daft enough to give you £5m+ without blinking.
We would undoubtedly miss him but Sterling has shown he is a decent footballer and could do a job.
Plus you wouldnt grudge Tav a couple of years earning £100k a week to top up his pension fund.

fair price would be 3-4m given his age.
To take away the captain and most important player of the team midway through a title challenge that will almost certainly not be replaced with someone as good.
10-15m which is why he wont be going anywhere.
