I think that'll happen as well. What benefit is it to Hearts to lose him for nowt in the summer, when they can get something for him now? They're finishing 3rd regardless, and ain't winning the SC with or without him.

There has been nothing credible to say Clement is interested in Shankland.

No bid, no concrete discussions. Half our fanbase convinced themselves he was the answer and that's kept it in the media for a month.

As far as I've seen we've not made any move or even any real noise for any centre forward since Silva came in.

Silva seems to be the opposite....he has good technical ability, he will link up the play, bring others into the game and drop deep to get on the ball

...that's all well and good, but first and foremost given the amount of chances Dessers has missed, given the old firm results and lack of goals from our attacking players in those fixtures, and given the few chances we will get against too teams in Europe....we don't need a well rounded forward that can do all the good work in and around the box but is hit and miss when it comes to taking chances....we need a finisher

fs stevie you want a guy that clinical and proven goalscorer in the mid season window. we dont have the money for that.

You say we need a goal scorer ... we have that.

A squad needs a different type of striker from a out and out goalscorer sometimes...we have that.

we have another 3 strikers due to come back..

we dont need 6 strikers on the books at once

Are you trying to argue he wasn’t a penalty box striker? The reason he didn’t even start regularly in Europe or in some old firms was exactly that
