Mmm.... 2014 - 2019 - 2024????
Perfect 5 year cycle
No partic injury to Joe, just a gut reaction from PW.
Now even Warne getting prickly
So, Wildsmith wasn't injured but dropped in favour of Vickers

Makes sense - particularly in a "should win" game.

Maybe - I know hindsight is great but the last few home games, whilist Wildsmith hasn't be bad/poor, he has been 'wobbly' a few times
From Warne’s interview sounds like Wildsmith just wasn’t quite fit enough

Also another game on Tuesday.
I think we looked a bit suspect at the back at times for two reasons - first, Nyambe was away and secondly we played a back three which I dislike intensely. While Nelson and Cashin did well enough they did not look their normal rock solid selves. I assume Wildsmith had a slight knock and was not risked but Vickers was fine. We have two really good keepers available to us. Fozzie must be feeling it right now but his half-time substitution was apparently down to a slight niggle.
I thought Bird was MOM having created two of the goals but Collo and Wilson also did really well. Bradley still manages to look insecure but he played his part nonetheless. Hourihane is able to stroll through matches but he too must be feeling it right now. It was good to see JJ get 60 minutes in and he worked hard albeit probably not in his best position. NML caused lots of problems first half but faded a bit thereafter.
But even though we were not 100% convincing an away win is no bad thing!
As a spectacle, it was very poor value.
Good result, but shocking game management to let them back in it.
Our midfield was totally absent.
Vickets played well. He's a much better kicker than Wildsmith, (which isn't difficult).
Bit hard on Bird, Scouse.
Well, we are well placed in the league, have a generally fit squad, and would appear to have some of this mysterious momentum.
Promotion well within our capabilities, at this stage automatics highly achievable.
So next time out, let's count our blessings and stop being quite so snippy.
Be nice.

Not really. They are rock bottom, we're at the other end.
We really ought not to have let them score.
It was a very scrappy game.
From what I could see I thought Bird played well but we do need better control in midfield. Obviously Warne feels that Hourihane's quality on the ball and experience outweighs his lack of mobility and strength but sometimes we look a bit lacking. The pitch didn't look the smoothest which doesn't help the more technical players.
