He was a smooth operator on the field, and had a mind beyond his time in football
What a legend. Won the world cup both as a player (1966, 1974) and as a manager (1990). Not many people can say that.
Played with a broken arm on one occasion.
Sad loss

Personally I would have liked to have seen players like Rensenbrink, Cruyff, Rep, Neeskens, Haan, Gerd Muller, Beckenbuer, Breitner etc...
Some great name there

Hann might not be as well known as some of the other players you listed but he scored some fantastic long range goals in the 1978 World Cup in Argentina.

I think I saw him live. I went to the 1972 European Championships game at Wembley which West Germany beat us 3-1 playing in green and I think the kaiser was playing.

Hi Joey
Hounslow’s you think I wouid remember seeing the great man but it was all about Gunter Netzer that night if memory serves. Last England game I ever went to.
Gerd Muller in their team as well
2 great keepers played Gordon Banks and Sepp Maier.
Used to love watching Gerd Muller. Proper goal machine.
