Unrationally p*ssed off with Ipswich 🤣🤣 Fair play to them for getting the results, they are like an annoying fly that won't f*ck off!!
Maybe Ipswich are just plain old good and worth their position. Punching above their weight to an extent.
Tip my cap to both them and Leicester. Up to us now.
Whoever the top 2 are will have fully earned it. Be it us or not. More twists to come though.
Fair play to Dipswitch but they have the luck of the devil-- their opponents have a habit of pressing the self-destruct button and Southampton did the same today. So we go again, merely to stay in the race.
Southampton gk error at the death, boots it up field, into the Ipswich keeper's hands, he then plays it up field leading to their winning goal.

-----------
wasn't the Southampton keepers fault at all that Ipswich goal - massive kick trying to sneak the forward in round the back, why wouldn't they want to go and win the game? - draw not really good enough for them... the ball went into the Ipswich keepers hands, who then played it out.. it bounced around and the forward got lucky, poked it home, hardly the Keepers fault. Southampton needed to win, you;re not expecting him to hold on to it for 10 mins trying to draw the game, on the off chnce it would hinder Leeds united are you?

Of course it's a goal keeping error to just aimlessly kick it up the pitch in such a way that you lose possession if you are down to ten men and in doing so you end up losing the game.
In that situation getting anything from the game is a result, you take a cautious approach to hold on to the point.
Where did ten minutes come from, the ball goes the Southampton box, he kicks it aimlessly up field, the Ipswich keeper catches it, and Southampton fail to defend the resultant clearance because their defence isn't set.
They might have needed a win, what they needed less was to lose for their sake, not for ours.

----------------
Aimlessly? - he was trying to play the forward in, who was running around the back of the Ipswich defence, in what the keeper thought was the last kick of the game, going for the win.
draw or loss the same for Southampton, a win would have seen them in with a sniff!
wasn;t at fault at all, was loads of play after he'd kicked it
If nobody had kicked that ball out at the end of our game James wouldn't have scored that goal!..
It gets me how you have a bit of time added on and the team needing something takes it slowly from the back when time is running down, I've sreamed a few times at my laptop when ours do it!..
That's when I'm lucky and I get to see it!..

did you see the game? Evidence indicates you probably didn't.
How can it be the last kick and be followed by lots of action, that doesn't make sense.
The passage of play I am talking about is one where Southampton have battled for a period to stop a resurgent Ipswich, at that point, Ipswich were on top due to having numerical superiority. Since the sending off and the Sarmiento sub the crowd were up and there was clearly only one winner. It was a very poor clearance, one bounce through to the Ipswich keeper, he kicked it up the pitch and as this gave the Southampton defence no time to set themselves. Keeper complicit.

Don't know why I'm, getting this not giving them chance to set themselves nonsense, he gave the ball away which led to an Ipswich attack and goal in a position he didn't need to, he was the last Southampton player to touch the ball, he should have taken more care.
you're missing the entire point Dennis
a draw was the same as a loss mate. they had to win to have any chance of being in auto spots.
keeper was going for the win. you're saying he should have kept hold of the ball right?
why? - to draw?, its no good.
Keeper not at fault for his actions at all, its commendable.
you're looking at it from a Leeds point of view.
Dennis, watch the reply of it all again.. the Southampton manager shouting to keeper and pointing up the field for the break...
almost training ground stuff, one loan forward trying to run behind the defence.
kin, el, what more can we say mate?
Morning all🌞.
Yep another big day today, starting with Norwich v Ipswich at 12:30. Think it’s case of:
“Let’s be ‘avving you!” 😁
Odd one for me.. I’ll be an hours deep into a 4 hour game when Leeds KO.. I’ll only know the Ipswich result.. will find out the Leeds and Leicester results afterwards!
Could be a sensational day for me… or not 😂
Norwich at home. Surely Ipswich is due a stumble. Don't expect Leicester to lose but that's when they do lately. We have to keep winning but this is the game I've been dreading for some reason. Hopefully we're well rested, especially our Welsh lads who had a crazy amount of games in a few days.
What's up spanish? I seemed to miss something.
Mont, agree with Ipswich, fancy Norwich today
Not sure what you’ve missed mate, what dya mean?
this run in is awesome, but not sure my heart can take much more
Here we go again then.
Advantage Leicester in terms of fixtures today but its that funny end of the season when nerves take hold and some strange results unfold.
Norwich were terrible at Leicester so hopefully we get a bounce in the derby today. What better need to they have than trying to take a playoff place and stopping their enemy from being promoted. Expecting a big effort from them. Ipswich without a win in 13 versus Norwich.
Birmingham have been a mess since sacking Eustace and have poor form going into todays game. At least they should be battling hard and Plymouths win last night gives them even more to play for.
Tough tough game for us against a potential playoff side with a very savvy manager. Normally would take a point but its just not enough ?
Already a yellow card missed against Ipswich
Norwich playing narrow again. Killed them against Fatawu and Mavididi. Lots of room for Davis and Hutchinson already
Some decent possession from Norwich but look toothless up top
Thing about Davis. I dont recall him ever taking set-pieces for our U21s and never seen him take long throws for us. I think he is on drugs
Wheres the fking red card
Ipswich done naff all this game…..
So you just know they gona win. Ridiculous
