Saw a clip of Onuoha speaking about him on a podcast and he explained he's just a bully who can give it out but can't take it, which is hardly surprising but was funny to have it confirmed.
He said the day Barton attacked Dabo was because all training session Barton kept kicking him, then eventually Dabo got fed up and kicked him back, so of course Barton's response to one kick was to punch him.

danny mills pretty much confirmed that also that Dabo incident was basically a few words exchanged to Barton he was ready to kill him, had to be dragged of from him.

What he said about too many women on TV talking about the mens game was right.
Obviously he has turned into a click bait artist. I read some of his tweets once, he went on a rampage then went off to meditate. Can see this ending badly for him.

Eni Aluko is indeed a shīt pundit, but the point is how he takes her as an example and extrapolates it to 'all women pundits are shīt', which is exactly what stupid people do.
And he may be right about certain women being on because they are a woman - but there are also some God awful male pundits who are only there because they were a name in the men's game. People like Rio, Owen, Jenas, Scholes etc. These guys aren't adding any valuable insight whatsoever, and seem to have quite an arbitrary outlook on the game. If punditry jobs went out to people who actually gave the best analysis, they would probably go to a bunch of analysys at The Athletic or something. But it doesn't work like that and it never has.
In any case, I think anyone who manages to find the time or effort to get wound up by women working in the men's game is just a bit strange.

I have no issue with him criticising Eni Aluko if he thinks she's a poor pundit (I think she's poor too) but it's got nothing to do with the fact she's a woman.
Jose Mourinho didn't play at a high level and I'd rather him as pundit than Rio for example.
The punditry you get on ITV, BBC, Sky etc isn't meant to be that techincal either. It's just meant to be there to explain what's happening quite simply to the casual viewer. If you want in-depth tactical analysis go elsewhere.
If Barton is generalising as I believe he is then presumably he's never seen Garth Crooks' team of the week!

People like Rio, Owen, Jenas, Scholes etc. These guys aren't adding any valuable insight whatsoever, and seem to have quite an arbitrary outlook on the game. If punditry jobs went out to people who actually gave the best analysis, they would probably go to a bunch of analysys at The Athletic or something. But it doesn't work like that and it never has.
In any case, I think anyone who manages to find the time or effort to get wound up by women working in the men's game is just a bit strange.

Eni Aluko is indeed a shīt pundit, but the point is how he takes her as an example and extrapolates it to 'all women pundits are shīt', which is exactly what stupid people do.
And he may be right about certain women being on because they are a woman - but there are also some God awful male pundits who are only there because they were a name in the men's game. Saw a clip of Onuoha speaking about him on a podcast and he explained he's just a bully who can give it out but can't take it, which is hardly surprising but was funny to have it confirmed.
He said the day Barton attacked Dabo was because all training session Barton kept kicking him, then eventually Dabo got fed up and kicked him back, so of course Barton's response to one kick was to punch him.

He's just an idiot.
I have no issue with him criticising Eni Aluko if he thinks she's a poor pundit (I think she's poor too) but it's got nothing to do with the fact she's a woman.
Jose Mourinho didn't play at a high level and I'd rather him as pundit than Rio for example.
The punditry you get on ITV, BBC, Sky etc isn't meant to be that techincal either. It's just meant to be there to explain what's happening quite simply to the casual viewer. If you want in-depth tactical analysis go elsewhere.
If Barton is generalising as I believe he is then presumably he's never seen Garth Crooks' team of the week!
