Bloody Senegal and Mali apparently don’t even play each other til Saturday which means Biss and Sarr miss the next two. Honestly these pointless two bob competitions are massively facking with our season, what are they doing? Just get the facking games played you cuunnttts, get the tin pot trophy handed out by some despot and send the bloody players back to the clubs that pay their facking wages. Piisssing me off now.
For me we should be winning all 5 home games. If you’re a club that’s serious about being near the top, that’s a list of games you should pick up maximum points from. The away list is tougher - west ham are good and we are of course their cup final. Villa and Everton also tough places to go for different reasons - Villa are strong this season, and Everton are good at home plus it’s this Saturday when we’ll still have key players away.
There will be a couple of defeats in there somewhere along the way, need to be sure to at least get 6 points from Palace & Fulham and win the home games, which is 21 points as gives a 2 point per game haul, whatever happens in the other 3 games is up in the air, any points are a bonus IMO.

We really need to push some sheeet out and break this thingy that I don;t want to meniton but at the height of doing well, we face some weird and annoyingly cr@p obstacles, that derail us.,
Even now with Ange ball, we can see it in force. Chelsea game and then City one.
Therefore, I am a little cuatious about any game where we are heavily favourited!
I agree mostly Ace, slight disagreement with the Everton game - I think we should be winning that with little bother. We have a great record at Goodison and they are shiete overall.
Senegal have to play the hosts the Ivory Coast today - who hilarious have sacked their manager after the group stage even though they squeaked through. It’s a long shot, but not impossible they play much better today and beat Senegal.
Mali will likely beat Burkina Faso tomorrow - but it’s not a definite.
I really fancy the Saudis to beat South Korea on Tuesday so we get Son back for the Everton game

To be fair we don’t lose many against the bottom half sides, we tend to be consistent. Our issue is we tend to do shiete against the rest of the big 6 - Chelsea have the Indian sign over us, Liverpool always beat us at Anfield and often beat us at ours, we never win at the Emirates.
We tend to do okay against the 2 Manchester clubs

I think one good thing about Angeball is that it demands that you are confident and positive with the ball. It doesnt let you dwell on fears and failures, so although we have suffered a bit in the 2nd half of the season so far, we've always managed to pick ourselves up and go again without looking back at the last bad result.
We will go into the Brentford games, looking for a win, playing for a win and expecting a win and, tbf, when we've had a strong squad to chose from more often than not we've been consistent, just 1 or 2 bad peformances/results so far.

Yes, but the last game we played with fear in the first half for the first time this season. We were also slow off the mark.
Tbh, we will not encounter another side like City so that is reassuring. The last game started at 100mph and we got blown away.
City is probably where we want to be next couple of seasons. Right now, we can do the same to other teams.
Ace's comments right on the mark as usual about ASIA and AFCON
I mentioned on Sizzle's "now that the dust has settled" article yesterday that the next 10 games were crucial (as is every game of course) but in my opinion, with a full squad and playing the best 11 every game we should be looking to win 8 of those 10 games.
The other teams around us will have distraction involving CL, Ropey and FAC as well as PL commitments and we need to capitalise on this to keep the pressure up. After all we can now only play a maximum of 41 games this season.
The next 4 games after those 10 with make or break our season.....
Newcastle away
City Home
Arsenal Home
Liverpool away
4 killer games but back in 2010 when we were neck and neck with City for 4th spot we had Arsenal, Chelsea and City within 10 days and walked away with 9 points. Not suggesting for one moment we will repeat, but 24+ points from the next 10 games will see us right up there.
The final 2 games are Burnley at home and Sheff Utd away, both of whom will most likely be relegated by then
Anyway roll on Everton this weekend

I think if someone complains then admin more or less is obligated remove it, and there are folk on here who like to complain about me for things they wouldn’t complain about if someone else said it.
I’ve said many a time, a few near the knuckle phrases or words here and there is nowhere near as damaging to people’s experience of using the forum as the absolute incessant wummery - articles and thread derailing - of certain idiotic members.

Yeah Liverpool away is the only one I look at and think “not a chance”. We have a ridiculous record against City, it’s not unusual for us to beat Arsenal at our ground and they could be in full meltdown for missing out on title again by then. Newcastle away - Forest won 3-0 up there at Xmas, they aren’t the same side as last season.
We also will have the Chelsea away game rescheduled, as schitt as they are these days they will be bang up for that and we usually get turned over at Stamford Bridge.
Villa, Chelsea and Liverpool away - 1 point I reckon.
City and Arsenal at home - 3 points minimum.
4 from those 5 would give us 44 - you would imagine 70 will get a CL spot if it goes down to 5th place. So we would need 9 wins from the other 12 games or 8 wins, 2 draws, 2 defeats. I fancy us to get it done.

Would like to think that admin would factor in if the complainant is a Spurs fan or not, considering this is an article on the Spurs board about Spurs and your comment was mostly about Spurs.
If it’s a Wolves/West ham or Arsenal fan complaining then that should be taken into account

I don't think those four games will make and break our season. If we can get 8 wins out of the 10 fixtures that you list then even if we only get a couple of points from those four games, we will still be in an excellent position to get top 4.
Good opportunity for our front three (whoever plays) to build up their goals and assist stats.

Let’s hope so!! . Out of those 4 tough games what points tally would you expect? I’m think 5! 1 win 2 draws and a loss
5-7 points from those four games I reckon
Newcastle….draw or win …..massively over rated for me
City ….draw
Arsenal…..win
Liverpool….loss

With the squad soon to be returning to full strength and nothing but the league to focus on, it will be a failure to not get top 4 from here. We saw how good the team was before the injury crisis, it went on a long unbeaten run. We since added to it as well with a new CB and another option up front, albeit one that isn't going to take anyone's breath away.

Why was Aces comment removed but the response to it left so that people can read Ace’s original comment anyway?

I think that the Admin has a limit on how much cursing he can handle a day
The gist of the comment was spot on, I thought.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
We really need to push some sheeet out and break this thingy that I don;t want to meniton but at the height of doing well, we face some weird and annoyingly cr@p obstacles, that derail us.,
Even now with Ange ball, we can see it in force. Chelsea game and then City one.
Therefore, I am a little cuatious about any game where we are heavily favourited!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
To be fair we don’t lose many against the bottom half sides, we tend to be consistent. Our issue is we tend to do shiete against the rest of the big 6 - Chelsea have the Indian sign over us, Liverpool always beat us at Anfield and often beat us at ours, we never win at the Emirates.
We tend to do okay against the 2 Manchester clubs
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Very true
But I started now to harbour old fears of us being so inconsistent that its best to dilute expectations

Christ, some of the stuff I've seen let go on here is nuts if THAT's the low bar for offence.
