Personally I have no issue with Max Bird wanting to leave for whatever reason, He's done his time here, no need to question his loyalty. I just hope we got a decent fee for him (but I expect not).
Good luck to the fella. But Brizzle? Really?
I fear that the crowds at PP may not see it the same way and he comes in for a lot of stick (totally undeserved).
Paul Warne's take on the transfer window.

I'm not sure you can't argue against the fact that the city of Bristol offers slightly more in the way of entertainment to a 23 year old than Derby?

Echo what you've said Fin, time to thank him for his time and wish him well and show the love from his hometown club.
There's always a moronic section spiting out their stupidity with comments like F him, he doesn't want to be here so why keep him on loan?
Show our support to the team, without the boos
( because now is not the time for negativity!)
Paul Warne has explained how a deal for a Championship striker fell apart just three hours before the transfer window shut. The forward, who has played and scored in the second tier this season, had been a major target before the 11pm deadline, with a deal having been agreed early on Wednesday.
The move then looked to be off when his parent club failed to make progress with a signing of their own, but it was back on again yesterday in a dramatic 24 hours. It appeared Derby were going to pull off the deal, with the player, his agent and the clubs all agreed on a move. But at 8pm yesterday, the manager of the Championship club decided he did not want the player to leave.
Well I've certainly been out in Bristol more often than I have been out in Derby ...

I forgot to add, the players manager added, it's down to Phil Warnes bobble hat, and his sense of humour, I cannot let him go there.
Again Paul! Known Phil for 50 years, so it's a habit.
At least you're not calling him Shane ....
As expected, more blah blah blah. They announce cash in has signed a new contract to deflect their inadequacy in bringing in a striker.
I think jibes about "failure" are unfair. PW has explained what happened. You may say he should have looked elsewhere but where exactly? Given our EFL restraints how could we compile a lengthy list of the rarest (in terms of availability) most expensive type of player? We were severely limited so we have to accept it.
So we may now be looking at free agents on a short term deal. Fine if we can get the likes of Gayle. Otherwise I feel we will have to recall Brown at the end of the month. However inexperienced he may be he would be better than no-one.
Meanwhile I suspect we will never approach Sheff Wed in future if the current regime is in place!
