What about Ralf Ragnick, maybe we could try him again for a laugh. So bad at being our manager that he got fired from his next United job before he’d even started. I’m sure he’ll have learned all kinds of lessons from that experience so can use that as motivation to get us into the Europa League for the following season.

Jose was part of the gold generation of managers who unfortunately are retiring, or becoming rusty. The likes of Fergie, Wenger, Guardiola, Ancelotti, Jose, Klopp. They won the big prizes and were world class. We need to let them go and start looking at the next generation of managers, the Myrhh generation. Maybe not as good as gold but was deemed comparable in the past, despite just being tree sap.
Myrrh generation managers:
Carrick - Has Middlesbrough sitting mid table, pretty decent
Rooney - has managed several teams now around the world so is experienced
Gary Neville - has done it in La Liga
Edward Howe - has managed the richest team ever to a respectable 7th in the league and 4th in their CL group
De Zerbi - 3 wins in 16 is pretty decent in the toughest league in the world
David Moyes - Won the Conference and flying high in the PL. Could be the standout candidate
Lampard - Experienced at managing in the PL and championship
Gerrard - Won the Scottish Premiership and has managed around the world
Potter - He managed Chelsea. They're a big PL club
Pochettino - Managed Spurs, PSG and Chelsea. Being a manager is a job. He has experience in that job.
Southgate - He is capable of getting the worst out of a great squad of players so by logic that means he could also get the best out of a terrible squad of players.
Solskjaer - We could sit back and try and sneak a goal on the counter against all odds
Dyche - Experienced PL manager
There are probably more but WHAT A GENERATION we have on our hands.
Who is your pick?

You've got to factor in the language barrier, so that rules out Rooney and Gerrard

I'm not even necessarily saying I disagree with you. But do you not get bored of saying the same thing with pretty much every comment you make? There are Russian bots that are less repetitive than you are.

Brilliant. And true.
I note that in the OP the rumour is Jose wanting us and not the other way round.
That is a relief.
Look if Jose comes in and says he’ll never play onana again, he’s got my vote….

Mourinho finished 2nd at United with 81 points and he also won the Europa League and League Cup. It's head and shoulders above any Man Utd manager after Sir Alex Ferguson and it's also head and shoulders above anything that a squad of United's quality should have achieved.
It's quite sad the lack of respect Mourinho receives from man utd fans, but not surprising given how many plastic glory hunters support Manchester United. I'm sure the real United fans have respect for what Mourinho achieved.
The Roman Empire conquered almost all of Europe, large swathes of North Africa, and bits of Asia.
I doubt their armies would get too far today.
It's sad to see a Real Madrid fan with little respect for Mourinho considering he was the one who ignited your era of dominance in European Football. Without him, you wouldn't have won any of the Champions League trophies you've won in the last 10 years.

Madrid spent years getting knocked out at the last 16 stage of the Champions League. Mourinho immediately gets them to 3 consecutive semi finals and after he leaves they begin winning. Mourinho was the one who began the transition.

No manager ever stayed so long at Madrid with such little success.
When he arrived we had already won more Champions League titles than any other club ever.
When he left, we'd still won the same amount. Best of the rest means nothing. Last 16, last 4, best of the rest is a meaningless stats. Three years of failure, and by the end no one believed in him any more any no one could stand his guts.
A true specialist in failure.
I'm sure we've been through all of this before, Wahl.
Still love you though.

It doesn't matter how many CL trophies Real Madrid won before Mourinho came. They were all years in the past and the current team had won nothing. You act as if Mourinho should have won the CL, but his starting point was a team that couldn't get past the last 16. The next manager was able to build on the foundations Mourinho provided him, a team that was regularly reaching the semi finals and was almost there in terms of winning the CL.
You're entitled to your opinion, but most people would disagree that there's no difference between the embarrassment of getting knocked out by mediocre teams in the last 16 season after season compared to reaching the semi finals ever season and once even only losing on penalties.
No idea what Wahl is.

Mourinho is a failed fraud who bottled 3 consecutive CL semis because he didn't have the balls to let all that talent play football.
Just take a second to think about it. He bottled them all - managing the most decorated team in the history of the competition, and getting 3 bites of the cherry with the most expensive squad ever assembled, he still soiled his pants. Every. Single. Time.
And don't get me started on the excuses and the behaviour. Vile, cowardly, and embarrassing.
