Real Madrid lost to Barcelona and Bayern Munich in the Semi finals. How is that bottling? They were great teams too and Bayern only won on penalties even. You can talk about tactics fine, but losing to those teams who were arguably stronger than Real Madrid and certainly not weaker at all isn't bottling. That's just losing to a good team. The only one you can maybe call bottling is losing to Klopp's Dortmund, but they were a very good team too who won the Bundesliga twice in a row.

No team has a right to win the CL. Real madrid won 3 in a row and then got battered by Ajax, City and Chelsea the next 3 years in a row. I suppose the managers that oversaw those must be unbelievable frauds. How you can call Mourinho a failed fraud because he 'only' lost 3 CL Semi finals all against good teams whilst also winning La Liga and the Copa Del Rey in 3 seasons at Real competing against the best Barcelona team of all time is insane to me.

Against Barcelona, he decided to park the bus so deep in the first leg at the Bernabéu that he left the ball without any out-ball whatsoever, with an instruction to kick lumps out of the opponent at any available opportunity.

It was a fᴜcking shɪt plan, which also added insult to injury. An insult to football, an insult to the fans who'd paid a fortune to attend, and an insult to the history and traditions of the club.

As for that Bayern side, it was nowhere near the level of the following season. They'd only made the CL through the qualifying round, and didn't draw a single league champion en route to the final, and their defeat to a mediocre Chelsea side capped their second consecutive trophyless season.

A cowardly performance away left us an uphill task in the return leg, and when we reversed the tie straight out of the gates at the Bernabéu, Mourinho cacked himself once and handed the initiative back to Bayern for the remainder of the game, plus extra time. Bottling of the highest order from a managerial perspective.

And as I said to begin with - not a single Madrid manager has ever coached the team for so long with such little return. His stat-padding against weaker Liga sides fooled no one. In the really big games he always reverted to his cowardly tactics. The only people who ever missed him are the fascist morons who bought into his 'war on Barça' and part of their own backward 'war on Catalonia'.

That's how you beat Pep's Barcelona It's how Chelsea beat them literally the next season. Do you have some fantasy that somehow you were supposed to outplay Xavi, Iniesta and Messi and that Ancelotti or Zidane as manager would have somehow been able to do that? Sir Alex tried twice and failed. It's not possible, Mourinho was correct in his approach.

And the Bayern team is the same team that won the treble the next season! Chelsea were lucky to win that final, everyone knows it, Bayern dominated us. I just checked btw, and that season Bayern topped a group containing Napoli and Premier League champions Man City, so I dunno why you're making out that they're a crap side with Schweinsteiger, Lahm, Robben, Neuer, Ribery, Muller etc. Just as good as Real on paper which is probably why the tie went to penalties.
