Gutting, we looked much stronger with him... Little focker gets everywhere!

I'm hoping that with Shaw back and Dalot looking lively, we'll whether the storm with the CBs at our disposal.

Love Martinez, but feel Shaw's return was the most important one.

Unlikely we'll see him in a United shirt again.

Villa A

Bristol/Forest A
City A

Sheffield United H

Games that he will miss, only City and Villa look like a banana skin. Could be worse.

Given the range of possibilities, this feels like good news. He's a very important player for us but his absence shouldn't be as badly felt as it was in the first half of the season if we can keep Shaw, Dalot, Mainoo and Casemiro fit.

Big loss.

Huge loss - I wonder if going back onto the pitch and that final sprint worsened the injury?

Poor from both him and the medical team if so.

Agree, but you could see what his ability on the ball brought to the team yesterday. Our other CBs lack of ability and composure on the ball always seems to result in panic.

I'd probably argue Martinez is more important than any of those listed, maybe on par with Mainoo, especially considering it seems Verane cannot manage more than 1 game a week anymore.

We'll be seeing Lindelof and Maguire playing together at some point I'm sure.

Busby, I don't disagree. Massive loss. Just saying it was an even bigger issue having his lack of defensive aggression without Casemiro in front of the defence, and lacking his ball progression in the first phase when we were also without Shaw and Mainoo.

I see RR is still getting Dalot's name out there then looking for a few bites.

Yeah, Dalot is absolutely terrible.

Credit where it's due though, one hell of a tackle on Bowen yesterday.

Haters like Diafol gonna hate, but my guy had yet another good game yesterday.

What is it with Utd's defenders past 6-8 years being so injury prone, all of them bar Maguire.

I quite like Dalot. Think he links up in midfield well when asked to do so. His final ball could be better though but he's only youngish.

Indeed. The moron doesn’t even know that it is Jos Butler and not Josh as his favourite player.

Surprised we weren't in for Jesse on a free with one eye on the future.

And we lost away to Forest last time, assuming that's who we get.

Pretty much in line with what we'd must have expected. Obvious it wasn't an ACL injury from the fact he played on for a bit and walked himself off the pitch.

Still a massive blow for us and must be very frustrating for him to be essentially ruled out for 90% of the season due to what is essentially a couple of very unlucky impact injuries

posted on 5/2/24

Exactly, Pun. Expect the worst and we'll never feel the sting of disappointment.
