So are we back to Bissouma and Sarr starting in midfield for the next game?
Our best starting 11 keeps having slight alterations from week to week.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That's where AussieGlue earns his salary.
Should depend upon how the players are doing in practice.
E.g., I would not be surprised to see Draguisin start in place of Porro next match....
Porro picked up a hard ankle knock and Draguisin ain't going to be happy on the bench.
Midfield.... Saar, Bissouma, Bentancur, Maddison
and up front.. .. Richarlison, Son.
Now that leaves us without speedsters on the wings, Johnson and Werner.
So..... who knows?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Dragusin isn’t a RB.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Has played such, don't you know?

Radu Matei Drăgușin is a Romanian professional footballer who plays as a defender for Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur and the Romania national team. Mainly a centre-back, he can also be deployed as a right-back.

Was at the game yesterday, thought Brighton were better first half and we were better second half, but I thought our ‘better’ was better, if that makes sense. We were worth the win overall for me, just about, they were blatantly time wasting toward the end and we were still attacking with intent in the 96th minute - and got our reward for it with Son and BJ’s pace stretching a tired defence.

We're playing attractive, front foot football and deservedly in the top 4. Things haven't been this good for years
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Since the Poch years, it’s ok, you can say it, and we’re not quite there yet.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We all want better than the Poch years which yielded nothing.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well we ain’t even close to it, so could be a long f*cking wait.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
In what way are we not even close to it? All we ultimately achieved under Poch was finishing in a CL berth. And we are currently 4th, so I’d say we are close to it. I’d be interested to hear why you think we aren’t close to it, you know - some insight, instead of the incessant huffy, hissy, arms folded, pre-menstrual one liners.
Jeez all these personal attacks.
Come back to me when we’re next in a CL final or make it past the second round of a domestic cup, until then just leave me the f*ck alone.
Thought the difference in performance from recent games yesterday was we weren’t constantly open
Worse teams than Brighton have carved us open easily recently , just thought we looked more solid other than a few moments
Usually it’s more than a few moments

can you call someone an idiot who doesn't know football because they haven't read Wikipedia like you?
CL should be the minimum now after the start we've had, the lack of progress in the cups, the no European football, where we sit currently.
Are we close to Poch? Well not after one season. We judge Poch on his whole tenure. He didn't win anything but his continual qualification for the CL was something we hadn't seen before or since, same with a title race, or a CL final.
Ange needs more than one season to see how close he is to Poch, but it's a good start so far. As long as we can end up with CL qualification this season then that won't change.
Comparisons to poch are ridiculous ….we are in about the same place after his first 6 months give or take though
Let’s compare them when ange is been in the job the same time ….sounds fair
I’m loving it and look forward to every game again ….thats enough for now as it’s early days
I will be disappointed not to get 4th from here but if I was asked at the start of the season europa qualification I’d have took and would still be happy with that as that’s progress
Sigh, I agree with what Spurtle said, it would be disappointing not to get 4th now AFTER THE START WEVE MADE.

Not really interested in comparing to Poch. That was a good time long gone.
Ange himself said we were poor in the first half, as many of us pointed out on the match thread.
I’m very happy with where we are right now. The question is can we finally push on from this position or will we level out and our sole ambition be fourth?
It will take some quality additions in the summer, not just youth players and opportunistic loans. Are richarlison and Werner good enough for a title challenge or do we need to invest in ready quality?
What does this club want? Just profiteering from cl qualification or actually try to compete for honours?
I’m not sure I know the answer to that question, but the summer will give us some insight
Everyone tells me levy has put us in a fantastic financial position due to ffp. Well let’s see us take advantage of it and win something.

I’ve said this before - the PL was a different landscape when Poch was here, the door to a PL title win was ajar for a few years as it was a period where there was no dominant force in the league to the point where Leicester were able to win it. It was toward the end of his tenure that Pep and Klopp really upped the anti in terms of points tallies needed to get in the top 2, nobody else has had a sniff since whereas in the mid 00’s four different clubs won the league in 5 years.
The hope is that Klopp leaving puts Liverpool into a period of transition, and I think we are in a good place to capitalise on that, but realistically can’t see any other club winning the league while Pep is still at City.
The realistic goal for us is what it has been for a while - a domestic trophy and getting into the CL. Although, the Europa League is a more winnable competition for us.

I agree the landscape has changed and the landscape will keep changing. Some teams get stronger and others weaken. Chelsea haven't had the same threat since they got new owners. Newcastle could be a new force on the scene. Liverpool and City have definitely raised the standards and cleaned up the majority of the trophies although they've still let weaker teams in to win domestic trophies in that time - Arsenal won an FA Cup with Arteta, Leicester won an FA Cup, Man United won a League Cup last year. None of these teams could be said to be any better than we are now. Might happen again this season with a weaker team.
This is what we're talking about for Ange in being able to go one better than Poch and win something, while maintaining a decent league performance. It doesn't even have to be a major trophy at the moment either. No other team has been able to get near Liverpool or City to win a league title really but with Klopp leaving and Pep leaving soon too (?) it would help to open things up further and then league challenges may be on the cards. I still think there's enough in this team to be able to do that now but we'll see.
I think it's still very harsh to say 4th is the minimum. we could play very well the rest of the way and finish 5th because of villa. a lot had us down for mid table at the start of the season
I'm going to be miserable and make snidey passive aggressive comments until Ange is better than what Pochettino did.
