Dear DCFC,

If only it could be so simple, Desi!
Exeter played some pretty enough football but rarely looked like landing a punch so it looked like a very professional away performance. Adams, Elder, Bird and NML stood out for me. Hopefully Adams won’t get himself suspended for one of the six-pointers coming up as he seems to be the perfect fit in midfield. He’s similar to Smith in style, except better at everything.
Against uglier teams we need to set the agenda better rather than getting dragged into a scrap. CBT is a bit of a concern but while NML, Barkhuizen and Wilson are fit there is no huge rush to get him into the team.
NML, Bird, Cashin and Adams.
Keep those four fit and we've got a great chance at autos. 🤞🏻

Now you tell me !
We now have it in our own hands to be promoted automatically. Beat Portsmouth and win our game in hand and we overtake them. Good to see a good win against an in form side rather than scraping a 1 goal win against relegation candidates, or worse still not winning. Is Adam’s our Willie Carlin/Igor Stimac player? The player who is the key to making the team greater than the sum of the individuals.
Well impressed with Adams innit
Regards Adams wondering if we need to save him for the bigger sides coming up considering he's on three yellows from first three games?
Our remaining 14 fixtures:
Stevenage (H)
Barnsley (A)
Charlton (H)
March
Port Vale (H)
Bristol Rovers (A)
Reading (H)
Bolton (H)
Blackpool (H)
April
Portsmouth (A)
Wycombe (A)
L Orient (H)
Cambs United (A)
Carlisle (H)
Looking at the fixtures I noticed after the Blackpool game we play Portsmouth three days later ! We will certainly need to mix the team up which Paul Warne will have no issues with doing.
For the remainder games in March, personally I think if we can manage seven points that'll be a fantastic achievement. For March and beginning of April the games versus Reading, Bolton, Blackpool and Portsmouth are our acid test. I'd like to think we can beat Port Vale and B Rovers. after that it'll be down to which Derby County team is turning up and the addition of a sensible ref. Last night's ref received a lot of criticism and this division seems to have a lot of mediocre referring which obviously will dictate the direction our games will swing.
Great to see the balance in midfield restored after almost two seasons and Max Bird appearing rejuvenated with Adams carrying out the midfield destroyer role we've been crying out for. Just need Hourihane to find some form in the run in and then our midfield would be electric.
Here's hoping C B-T's injury isn't anything too niggling and that he can make an impact from Saturday, for once he's flying he'll be a great player to watch.
Correction:
* For the remainder games in Feb,
Portsmouth do have a tough run in as they still have to play Reading (battling with relegation) Oxford, Blackpool Peterboro', Barnsley, us and Bolton.
When we won the Championship in 1975 our final game was against an already relegated Carlisle. Can history repeat itself.

No, because we are in the third division
I think Bolton are well placed and in form enough to overhaul Portsmouth, although I hope their fixture congestion plays a part. They do have to play Portsmouth and Posh in 2 of their last 3 games though. We missed a huge chance to negate one game in hand with the late goal at the weekend. And if we beat them ....
The question is can we do the same? Obviously the 6 pointer there is key.
Our run in gives us an average opponents league position of 11.9. Pompey 's is 10.9 and Bolton 11.3 so statistically we have the easiest run in.
We play 4 of the top 7 (realistic promotion/play off contenders) whereas Pompey play 5 and Bolton have to play all of the other 6 ... and all in their last 11 games.
All the top 3 have to play each other.
We play 2 of the bottom 4, Pompey none and Bolton 1
I'll keep looking to see what other useless information I can find to give us hope of automatic promotion, only to be cruelly dashed with a 3-0 defeat to bottom club Carlisle when a point would have done.

According to Owen Bradley, Collins has a sore knee and is having a scan today. Could be out for the season (worst case) or available for Saturday (best case).
Still not sure why Collo stayed on when we were 0-3 up ?

Probably thought he could see some easy goals if Bird and Barkz had scored ...
Collins awarded with Player Of The Month.
Here's hoping the knee scan confirms nothing serious and he's back very soon.
