People still calling Nunez a flop makes me lol.
It’s like litmus test for people knowing what they’re talking about.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It's mental. I can't see what they're seeing. To me he looks like he could rival Haaland over the next few years. He's got pretty much everything. Plus he's getting the chances. He WILL be a 30 goal a season man. It's weird so many can't see it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Every Liverpool player says he is the absolute nuts in training. Once he puts it all together he’ll be a monster.
Only Jota has a higher non-penalty goal contribution per mins in the entire Prem.
On top of that he’s great to watch.

Nunez and Haverts aren't flops.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
How many goals did Havertz or Nunez score since they joined bear in mind the hefty outlay?
if they were not a flop, their scoring records should be around 20+ goals by now.
Neither are nowhere near 20+goals a season players.
Agree on Enzo. He's struggling as his side is struggling too. Havertz and Nunez won;t get a better side to play for, but they are bang average,

Hasn't he been curtailed by injury though?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah, just makes him a bigger flop. All the players in the OP have been more useful than him.

I watch a lot of PL football outside of Spurs games and to me Nunes has the kind of power on the ball that makes it look like he's an adult playing youth team football. My only criticism of him is that he puts his laces through every shot which isn't always necessary. He struggles when he has time to think which makes him panic and lash it when he's one on one. Other than that though, he's the perfect striker. His movement and positional sense is up there with Haaland. Just look at the chances he gets on the end of. It will defo click for him. To call him a flop is just absurd.

Very good point about putting his laces through every shot. A bit more composure and he'd have a few more goals this season. He's so good off the ball with his runs too, a bit of luck to go with his obvious talent and he'll be around the top scorers for years to come.

This. Although I'm taking this article as a poor WUM attempt.
For me the following are considered when deciding if a "big money" player has flopped:
1 - Fails to break into the starting XI as a regular. (K.Phillips)
2 - Is given a starting place but loses it quickly (ie replaced within a transfer window or 2) and doesn't regain it.(Pepe)
3 - Is never fit. (Fofana, or Hazard at Real)
4 - Doesn't impact in a massively under-performing side. (Caicedo)
5 - Is sold without playing a significant role in the team at a loss. (Jadon Sancho)
6 - Then there is the young players without much first team football and bought at a bit of a risk but big fee but never getting close to justifying it (Rhian Brewster)
I'm sure there are other factors people use. Although a midfielder not scoring 20+ after 24 games seems very harsh to me

Yeah because Nunez is better than Werner, and gets to set up Salah rather Havertz. But like Werner, he was bought to sign goals and struggles to do it on a regular basis.
He was bought to score and create and played both wide and deeper as well as 9 at Benfica.
As said, only Jota has a better goal and assist record per min in the entire Prem, he’s doing EXACTLY what he was bought for.
Rival fans can make stuff up, even guess at why people were bought, but they just look a bit silly now and let’s face it, our fans absolutely love him, which is the main thing.
He also didn’t cost £80m which is another weird thing oppo fans simply make up.
How much was kalvin Phillips?
Personally think there is a massive difference in a "flop" and a player not reaching the expectations fans/rivals have of the fee his club paid - and I think most people are arguing about the latter here.
I think you can make a top 10 with just Chelsea players.
