I don't think he's fast enough for the league he's currently operating in. He get's some great cover when beaten. His strength is his passing through the lines and positional sense and heading ability. Too slow for Premier league in my opinion, but might be handy to have around.
So, I think we pretty much agree and have same fears.

Well reasoned observations. I think you have to look beyond individual abilities; in the current climate it’s more about how the back four and their back-ups perform as a unit. Everyone at the club will be well aware of his shortcomings and make provision for them in the rest of the unit. If they can keep the balance right, there’s no reason why it shouldn’t work next season.

Exactly OWF, lets not forget until Rodgers destroyed him along with the rest of the squad he was a Premier League player along with being a regular Denmark player.

I have now worries over him than any other Player being good enough, well actually that's not true, I think Coady has been very poor in the few times we've seen him and if he was going to be a replacement for Vestergaard I'd be more worried.

He's playing well but sadly too slow to be considered in premier league.
Think premier forwards like Salah would show him up badly.
Squad player at best.
