Good rotation and minutes in legs too, will be needed with mid week games for next few weeks

Scottish Premiership

1. Rangers P26 W21 D1 L4 GD 43 Pts 64
2. Celtic P26 W19 D5 L2 GD 40 Pts 62

Would never have seen that being the case just a month or so ago

The board have made plenty of mistakes on the football side in past few years. I was surprised they didn't give Beale till the window and they acted far quicker than they have in the past.

They went out and got a proper football manager (which was apparent from his first week) and thankfully ignored souness pushing for lampard.

By getting him in before the break had plenty of time to asses squad and make changes in window.

From looking like a trophy less struggle to even get second in October we are now big Phil's quadruple chasing basterds.

Great to see it

Only disappointment of the day was Tav not getting to complete a hat trick of pens.

That would have been beautiful 🤩

It's fantastic mate

Cortes looks like a bit of a rough diamond that needs a wee bit of polishing

Diomande looks a player for me, maybe a wee bit lightweight, but looks composed, looks like he has good technique, can pick a pass and keep possession well, can tackle, and also proved today that he can chip in with a goal or two aswell

If this is the calibre of player we are likely to bring in under big Phil too, things are looking good

That’s some stat.

Rodgers has won the same number of points (40) as Naismith at Hearts since Clement came in.

Rangers clocking up 49 in that time.

posted on 18/2/24

Yeah diomonde looks like he could be a player. Seems to be able to do both the offensive and defensive roles so will be able to play along side a defensive midfielder without reducing our attack

How on earth can levein be complaining about those penalties

Especially when he admits he hasn’t seen them back. The guy is the most negative man in Scottish football. A total dinosaur 10 years ago never mind now

The 4.5m spent on Diomande will take away from summer budget. So not sure how much he’d have for other players. Cortes needs time, Sima looked brilliant once he settled.

Cant imagine we’d be able to afford wholesale changes or both Sima & Cortes, so would be happy with Sima and a striker as main signings if that was doable

He’ll 100 percent have new faces in the summer.
Admittedly some will leave. Wright first hopefully.

Ger’s will likely look to bring in cash for Lammers, Cifuentes, Davies, Haji and very possibly Ridvan and Dessers this summer.

How easy that will be and how much they can actually generate remains to be seen.

Wouldn’t also be completely surprised to see Raskin also being sold in the summer. Clement isn’t even using him as a sub any more.

dont know how long goldson has on his contract but we need to be brining in both a replacement for him and another startign CB. as decent as soutter has been he is not reliable as a regular starter

posted on 18/2/24

I’d give Raskin time, he’s only just back from injury. He’s only played 90 odd minutes since coming back

Even if we sell likes of Lammers, Hagi, Davies we’ll probably get what 7m or so. Cifuentes is out on loan till December. Cant see our net spend being much higher than 10m. Ridvan doing well would be surprised if we sold him

He’s not been great since he returned from injury.

His ball retention has been his biggest issue, when it used to be his strength.

Lundstram was even worse for that in the start of the season, he’s now back to Thursday night John.

Raskin is younger (lunny is 30 today), more dynamic and has previously looked good.
I hope you’re wrong and big Phil can help him van to form, as I think there’s so much to come.
Let’s remember he’s been injured too. Admittedly PC has spoken about managing injuries properly (jack, Roofe) without once mentioning nico.

Hope youre wrong as there’s certainly a player there. Starting to think you may be right though, as in he’s not fancied.

Soutter is a reliable starter
Two injuries in different ankles.
Nothing much since

Whether or not he’s good enough is another discussion

There’s absolutely no chance Goldson is being replaced Unless he suddenly wants to leave

Most underrated player since Ian Ferguson

We genuinely cannot pick up points without him.
