Ange Postecoglu could be the best fit for Bayern as he plays the right brand of attacking football that the club wants to see. His style relies on a high energy crowd that will drive the rhythm of the team forward and he would get that in Germany.

I know Ange has been let down in this regard at Spurs due to poor support from a subdued crowd which has had a massive impact on the team's ability to play the fast paced, attacking football.

If Bayern can see that with the right atmosphere and fans behind him, like he had at Celtic, Ange can bring success with his style to Bayern.

I have been to a few heavy metal gigs where the crowd have just been rubbish and subdued and it really affected the performance of the band. It is just a shame that the same is happening for Ange at Spurs but hopefully Bayern can see past that and see the bigger picture.

I wonder if plastic flags could help Spurs out, like they did for City and Chelsea?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
and what about the plastic fans in their thousands that attend ManU games ?

Hiring Tuchel would be repeating the same mistakes you've done in the past.

It reminds me of when Spurs sacked Poch and replaced him with Jose.

I guess it depends on what kind of club you want to be and I'd imagine the owners would want front-foot football managed by someone who not only shares that philosophy but also doesn't create any bad PR for the club. Tuchel for me is one of those like Jose and Conte where they come in, get something going short-term but their personalities cause turbulence and fractures within the camp long term.

Tuchel is in that win now mould but you shouldn't be going for someone like that. It's short-termism that's been your downfall for the best part of 11 years.

I think it's easier to think long term at a club like Spurs because we make no demands on success immediately. United is a different beast altogether. It's expected which is a problem in itself because there's no tolerance for patience. Alex Ferguson has been both your greatest manager but also your biggest curse. The bar for success is so high that every manager that comes in doesn't really stand a chance.

The end of Tuchel in the elite bracket?

Never felt he deserved it anyway, a cup in Germany, no CL with PSG.

Huge credit for the CL with Chelsea but didn't feel like his team were building to anything in the league just they got lucky in the CL. He outfoxed Pep in the final.

Might get a big job in Italy or the likes of Villa, West Ham but can't see him getting any of the big ones now.

I am sure he would view Real Madrid more as a second home than dipshitville.

Fortunately Xabi Alonso says differently.

Never saw that coming. I reckon Flick going back is more likely than Alonso who if I were him would probably take the Liverpool job over the Bayern one right now. Less pressure, more room to develop his ideas without the demands for instant success at Bayern. Bayern job will be more appealing in a few years.

Always great to see Bayern in FC Hollywood mode.

Would hate Tuchel at United.

I think Alonso has a fondness for all his former clubs but maybe being Basque he isn’t quit so attached to Real.

I think he will go to the dips as well. I don't think Real will be an option. Who knows. He might feel following Kliperty is not a good move.

This is such a mess of a comment it's hard to understand whether it's just a wind up or not. You've obviously never been to the ground because trust me, that place is deafening, particularly against the bigger sides.

My guess is that you've never actually been. Am I right? Just making judgements for the hell of it. Anyway I think I know what's going on here. You're clearly Scottish judging by your previous articles and you're a United fan, which means you have an affinity with Celtic. You're just bitter that we took their manager. If I were you I'd spend more time focusing on the shiiitshow at Old Trafford fella. I wouldn't mind betting it's a little quieter there than it used to be too.

He's criticising the Spurs fans for being too quiet for Ange to be successful and I thought it was worth pointing out that it's total nonsense. Absolute garbage.

Man, the hunt for managers is gonna be wild...

Bayern, Barcelona, Liverpool, UTD (?), Chelsea (?).
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Barca could well go for Arteta, which leaves them in the mix too.

I see Alonso on Madrid or Bayerns radar, obviously Liverpool too. With Klopp leaving I wouldn't be surprised if that's already in place?

If we were to get CL football, I think we stick with ETH. It would be a benefit to whoever comes in anyway, gives the new directors a chance to lay the groundwork.

I also think Chelsea would be wise to stick with Potch for another year (but this is Chelsea so who knows?)

----------------------------------------------------------

If I were Arteta, I'd be inclined to sit tight. Barcelona have an incoherent squad with ageing players that are hard to shift, and the desperate short-term financial decisions made 18 months ago make it harder than ever for them to invest to improve things.
