Our fans are obsessed with "cheap options" but i dont think McInnes, Jones or Cottrell would be anything of the sort!

Lets give the new man a clean slate, regardless of opinion, and not judge him on his past exploits.

Lets see who it is first!

Well after a troll through the press and Football websites it seems the 5 man short list consists of
Mark Robbins
Dave Jones
Fergie jnr (just think of the Man Utd loaniees we could get)
Sean O'Driscoll
Derek McInnes
Steve Cotterill
Aidy Boothroyd
Gianfranco Zola
Stuart Pearce
plus some sites claim the front runner to be a surprise someone noone has mentioned as yet.
Now either the list is longer than 5 or it's just lazy journalism picking names at random will be interesting to see who does get into the two man shortlist if indeed that is what is happening today.
I suppose Pearce could well be there on the basis that he works with our current No. 2 so would probably be happier at keeping more of the backroom staff than some of the others.

Redside
Dont make me laugh
We all know the new manager will be castrated as soon as he strings two defeats together.
Denying it is pointless

Pearce! Now that's interesting but never going to happen!

Stay away from our Stu, I'd be well gutted along with thousands of other Forest if he ended up managing BCFC and we ended up with a cheap yes man!!

'Stay away from our Stu'

I'll drive Pearce to Forest just to make sure the twonk stays away from us. Same number of brain cells as the Brolly Wally.
Daft as a brush.

Imagine the TV interviews!

Very loyal of you to keep your tag Keef!

Whoever the manager is he must be given a chance to turn things around - I would see survival as the primary objective this season, and if we manage to get in the playoffs that would be an unexpected pleasent bonus.

Still in a relegation spot at the end of December however would prove to me we chose the wrong man.

There is plenty of time to turn things around and most teams with a new manager experience an upturn and add points quickly over the first month.

If we land in the play-offs this season then I think our new manager should turf Cameroff out of No. 10 and run the country

BRR GJ very nearly managed it in his first season here and that was after a run of 9 defeats in his first 10 games from memory.
On paper we have a better squad than the one GJ inherited although our back 4 is pourous to say the least although for some reason KM didn't seem to want to play our strongest team unless there is something very wrong with Cisse and as he has been on international duty whilst not playing I'm at a loss to understand it.

It cost him dear, Hawky

BRR - I think our new manager should turf Shameron out of number 10 whatever his management achievements - but that's another story

We must NOT get relegated. I am not confident that we have the resolve of Norwich, Leicester or Scunny to bounce back up. It took us 10 years last time around and it could do again.

statisically the bottom goes if there at Christmas and a very high percentage of the bottom four placings go down need to be better than 19th.........

That really depends on the players we have and the impact upon them by a new manager.
There is usually a surge from new management clubs, and we could have a powerful second half to the season.
I would imagine there will be comings and goings during the January window
