Quite the opposite on refs. Chelsea got away with a lot more than we did too.

It really shows what a bit of a pussey Poch is. All he seemed to care about was not losing the game, then taking it to pens so he had an easy out if he lost.

Not really. We're sh!t, I'm sure you don't need convincing of this, so the onus was on you to win.

It was disappointing that we didn't take our chances to win & made a conscious decision (according to Pochettino) to stop playing in ET when we had the momentum, but at the end of the day as a team we're sh!t. Can't be disgraced if you have no expectations.

I'm a bit torn on Neville's comment. Chelsea obviously a very weak ET, when the tide should have turned in our favour and therefore for 30mins out of 120, I'd agree an element of bottling it. However Liverpool started the game as favourites, and only really had the kids playing from 88 mins onwards. And we had plenty of good chances to score. So I think there should be a bit of balance when analysing the whole game. Congrats to Liverpool in the end, but I'm not wholly embarrassed being a Chelsea fan today....disappointed of a missed opportunity but not embarrassed

A fair point, but most of those kids came through the academy and were being blooded by Klopp.

Not quite the same as £70m Mudryk, £100m Caceido, £40m Palmer and so on.

the entire starting 11 from liverpool cost 273m, Chelseas 2 DMs alone cost 221m? Not sure Chelsea have any excuse to claim theyre underdogs vs anyone with what theyve spent let alone Liverpool who have the 6th biggest spend in the league.

You seem like someone who prefers to see the 'other team' suffer rather than just be happy of your own success. Can't you be humble in victory? I thought I was quite balanced in my view, defending chelsea a little bit, and ultimately congrats to Liverpool but I'm not ashamed by our performance across the whole game. The bookies and most pundits I read were expecting Liverpool to win, which was my point.

We were missing Salah, Nunez, Szobo, Jota, Matip all of whom would probably start if fit. We had squad players and kids out there and even lost Gravenberch and had to replace him with a 19 year old.

bookies are brave if they saw tthat liverpool lineup and had them as favourites with an absolutely decimated squad vs a chelsea side causing city issues.
