Surely nobody but needlessly bitter Liverpool fans wants to see Everton go down?
Just saw that, aren't they facing new charges atm as well though?

Would love to see them go down tbh.
Yep, likely to get another points deduction before the end of the season, as well as Forest.
Honestly it’s been handled badly, Everton, Forest and Luton all in limbo and not really knowing what is needed to survive with 12 games remaining
For me, it not so much about Everton or wanting them to go do..
Whoever is in breach of the very clear rules i want to see punished, and punished properly so that it is a clear disincentive to cheating.
Last season they survived by a point and that this breach covers that period. I would expect them to be sued by the relegated teams who could have stayed up if EFC hadnt broken the rules.

It’s not persona with Everton, but they have stunk the league out for ages and even if they survive this season then next summer Onana and Branthwaite will be sold to balance the books and they will buy a couple of bang average players and continue to circle the drain - they offer very little to the league currently
dyche done a good job, would have been very harsh for them to go down
I don't get why they've reduced the points deduction though? They've clearly broken the rules

They’ve not when in 11 matches and conceded in injury time to 10 man Brighton at the weekend. They are re drawing their way to safety and are incredibly faaaacking boring.
I’d much rather Luton or Forest stay up, both sides go for it and are more entertaining, Dyche ball is eye bleedingly bad

Forest have faaacking Nuno in charge they're hardly playing champagne football
Luton too play a very similar style to Everton, very direct and physical. Bit of a myth that Dyche is some dinosaur compared to the other teams down the bottom, they have 5 games with at least 20 shots this season. Forest and Luton have one combined

Any free kick within 70 yards of the opposition area is an attacking FK and launched in.
I dont like their play but overall it adds to the challenge of the PL and this makes it exciting and more interesting

Yes they have, that’s why they’ve got a six point reduction. The reasons it’s been reduced is due to them being found not to have acted in bad faith and that the pl didn’t use available benchmarks to come up with their proportionality of sanction.
Well, the commission rather than the PL

Such bullshiiiiit, it really is. Can't help but think this reduction is the first sign that the PL are blinking or, more likely, they know that they can't come down like a ton of bricks on City to avoid losing their prized asset so they're going soft on Everton as a pre-cursor to going soft on City for consistency.
Absolute cowards.
We need independent regulation. The PL cannot efficiently police itself because it has too much to lose should the status quo change. FFP directly contradicts their want to market the PL as the dominant force in world football.

Just to be clear, this isn’t the PL doing anything. They were upheld by the appeals commission in every th int they said. What the appeals committee have said is that the independent commission erred in its findings against bad faith (as it wasn’t alleged in the first place) and also the proportionality of the sanction.
The commission and appeals committee both already are independent.
I don't want them to go down. It would be awful not to have a local derby each season. I just want them to keep finishing 17th every year.
fack sake, i hope the teams relegated over the seasons appeal it.

Come on, don't be naive. The PL would know who's on the appeals committee and I doubt very much it's as independent as they'd have you believe. Just like any inquiry, there's always examples of strong-arming, particularly from a colossus like the PL. Happens in politics all the time so I've no doubt the same is true in sport.
I promise you, when we finally hear the punishment for City on their charges, the football world will be shocked at the light sanctions, which will no doubt be even lighter once the appeal process has gone through.
