Chelsea are not as strong as they were in 1970 !

Brilliant

How do you think Cree would have got on if he'd to face the likes of "Chopper" Harris in a full on brawl?

Actually not Summerville, I think he can be quite feisty for a little fellah. Let's say Bamford.

I reckon Beradi would have fitted in quite neatly into that 1970s Leeds side.

If we play the first 80 minutes like we did against
Leicester, they'll bury us. If we play like the last 10,
we'll have a chance. A puncher's chance.

Whatever happens, hope we avoid major injuries.

Oddly the highlights of tonight's game are already available:

Only one yellow card, so not so bad...

On about players that'd done well back then!..

Is Vinnie still about?..

Think we're going out on penalties. Will stick to my guns that I ll be disappointed if we get beaten comfortably. These are down in the dumps, played extra time on Sunday, have had 2 days less rest, don't have a out and out goalscorer and face us, a team that are bang in form, have no fear, on cloud 9 after Fridays win and with nothing to lose tonight. Dangerous opponent for Chelsea.

Meslier

Gray
Ampadu
Cooper
Firpo

Gruev
Kamara

Gnonto
Piroe
Anthony

Joseph

Would rest Rodon as its a chance for Amps against his former club who they've made a mistake letting go.

just watched the game yesterday finally, and while there's no tension i was looking to find this Leicester domination. We were the better side first half imo and had the better chances, could have been up 3-1.

Haven’t watched much of Chelsea, did see the drubbing they gave Boro and Sundays final, they break quick and they pressed Boro really well…I think Meslier should boot it long in the early stages, we can play out later when they are less eager.

My take was it was an even first half, they scored, we had a couple of great chances. They then came out and battered us for 35 minutes...we scored and they crumbled.

Afternoon Earl, all 👍.

Well, this is gonna be a belter … 6 red cards and 14 yellows - and that’s just in the 1st half😁. Ahh for the days of ‘real’ football eh?

So this is a head vs heart moment in terms of predictions. Head says (obvs) that this is the closest thing we’re gonna get to an FA Cup London Final and we should treat it as such (team selection) but I doubt Farke will. He’s gonna want to protect a number of our 1st teamers and probably rightly so. Head says they will win 2-0.

Right, heart then. Heart says we get revenge for Davie Webb’s goal and we stuff them 1-3 with Cry double and Rodon header. We go on to get ManScuumU in the quarters and do them at their place 0-1 again, Paddy rolling one in a-la Beckford in 2010. Unfortunately my crystal ball then goes a bit cloudy, but I’m sure we win the FA Cup and get promoted this year, as champions😁.

Anyone seen the stories in the last coule of weeks regarding the Kray twins influence on the 67 semi, apparently there is meant to be a Scotland Yard photo of Ken Burns with the twins and he admitted to drinking in their club, they wanted an all London cup final, watched the highlights again today and Coopers goal was touch and go but Lorimers was a goal and as Ken Wolstenholme said you will have to go through the rule book backwards to find a reason thats no goal.
As for todays game dont think we will be winning.

thinking on it, my heart says we win on pens, head says we come undone 2-0

That's a conspiracy theory and a half which reminds me of a story. I was once walking down Middlesex street a number of years back, parallel to Spitalfields near Liverpool St station. A short guy who was walking towards me looked at me with very icy steely eyes, and I thought to myself, you look very familiar? It was 'Mad Frankie Fraser!'

Yes Vinnie absolutely who I think still holds the record for getting the quickest yellow card after about only 10 seconds or so on the clock after kick off... brilliant!
