100 years after the great sink
It is reflective of most of society now to be fair. People are stupid so we get what the stupid majority want.
A McDonald's every few hundred metres for stupid people to consume en masse.
Absolute shiiiiiite on TV cos people are stupid and want to watch stupid crap.
Shiite clothes that don't fit because stupid people eat McDonald's and watch crap TV all day so clothes need to be designed for the stupid, fat majority.
Shiiite news and media. Stories need to get as many interactions as possible so the easiest way is to trick or wind up the stupid majority. Social media is an absolute mess these days catering to stupid people's crappy attention spans.
Sport. People are stupid so even in sports like boxing now you have celebs boxing eachother as it gets more views from stupid people than actual sport.
Now football gradually going that way.
The problem is people and we need a mass clean up of society through whatever means necessary. The only solution I can think of is poisoning McDonalds or programming all white Mercedes A Classes to crash at high speed. It just needs one well doing clever person to instead of making money from stupid people, to kill them off via something like mind control via an episode of Love Island. Someone just use their powers for good instead of evil and profit, please.
I totally get that people want to see the top fixtures.
But in that case, why the uproar over super league plans?
Are people so stupid that they can't see this is what's happening?
Best not to answer that!
Good post Winston
I have no doubt that football is being wired and engineered to suit the rich, established clubs to the detriment of the others, ironically even although I feel that is wrong I will watch these games as I do enjoy watching football on tv when I cannot make a live game so perhaps I'm part of the problem?
I'm glad to see we are the only big club who are doing what's right and boycotting this nonsense next season. Shame others don't have the same morals.
the new format is much fairer and better than the previous one.

Much in the way that Amazon are part of society's problems but we all have Prime.
I think there's only so much you can expect a consumer to do and ultimately, there's a demand for these top games.
What we have to do, though, is be mindful that when we're feeling sad because another local club has gone bankrupt, we all front up as to why that is.

And this article isn't really about fairness, it's about the fact that clubs are being drawn into a European Super League and no one seems to be batting an eyelid.

its no different than before, as long as they dont close it off and have it confined to the same teams then its better than what we currently get.
"This is yet another move towards ensuring that the biggest clubs in Europe have an easy route into the latter stages of the competition and therefore ensures that TV revenues are kept as high as possible."
its really not, its actually the opposite. Its far fairer than the previous way and harder for the bigger teams under the new format.

Who, thats my concern? the new format in itself is ok and will give great viewing but I do have a doubt that it wont just continue to isolate the "bigger" clubs away from the others who might have a great one off season but eventually be side lined?
Obvs conjecture on my part and it might not happen to be fair but football over the last so many years has certainly became even more financially motivated?
If PL clubs weren't happy about it then UEFA could just give them a 6th spot in the super league. Until they let another Saudi murderer own another PL club then will need a 7th spot. For fairness. It is all about fairness.

na I disagree, with current format seed 1 teams get drawn against a pot 2 team, pot 3 team and pot 4 team.
they will never play another pot 1 team (bigget better normally) a pot 4 team will never play another pot 4 team so only (again for the most part) bigger and better clubs.
under the new format pot 1 teams will play two other pot 1 teams, and pot 4 teams will play two other pot 4 teams. It means that the bigger clubs are not avoiding themselves as much as they previously could. its a far fairer format.
the draw is equal for every team in this new format rather than beneficial for the big teams like it is now.
