Notice Farke has won manager of the month AGAIN.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
And deservedly so.
Next step manager of the year hopefully
I think the Stoke game has prepared us well for Hillsborough on a Friday night. They will have their biggest crowd of the season and we will be in full voice. They have an astute manager in Rohl, who plays each game according to his assessment of the opposition. They are on a good run, but their opponents have been Milwall, Brizzie, Rotherham, Brum and Plymouth. With respect to the Owls, we are a different proposition. We need to stop the ball getting to Ugbo, who has scored six in his past nine, but more importantly, we should try to impose our game from the first whistle. If we score first, they will have to come after us and I think our pace will hurt them. If we play our side to side passing game from the start, we will create problems for ourselves. The Owls are technically good and can pounce on mistakes. I would like to see CR and Byram at the back, with Archie and Gruev in the middle. I would start Willie, as Cree looks like he is carrying a knock, and see how they handle DJ down the right.
My one concern is how poor our set pieces were against Stoke. In contrast, every time they got a corner or a free-kick, we looked uncomfortabe, even with ten men.
This will be a tight, tense, encounter, but I think we will have learned important lessons from the past two games. 2-1 to the mighty Whites, DJ and Cree to do the business.

Their decent form has a lot to do with Poveda. Fortunately he won’t be playing tonight.
Will be rinse and repeat tonight, not sure whether it'll be a Stoke or Huddersfield re run. We'll dominate the game as expected, but we have looked a little jaded in areas and Sheff Wed could pull off what Hudds did. After playing 3 nights ago, I think a few changes would be needed. Would probably go Gnonto and James out wide (rest Summerville and possibly bring Piroe in for Rutter or Bamford. Must win game really.
Forget your Harry Potter, Star Wars, Gruffalo themed world book days.

They have won their last four games but haven't really played anybody, Millwall, Bristol City, Rotherham and Plymouth.
Two of those games they finished with 10 men, so I expect another ugly team of bruisers, but in one of the encounters their player got sent off right at the end so it wasn't back to the wall stuff.
I think keys to this are just how knackered we really are, and I think the answer from Tuesday is very, how well we defend, whether we take chances in a match against what is bound to be a very well organised defence and just whether the ref has the balls to properly do his job.
Agree with Farkeness selection above.
Also depending on how the game is going look to bring Cry and Joseph on later on as the game gets a bit more stretched.
Fully expecting a Huddersfield style encounter, bruising, disruptive and pressing us hard early on. Need to come out of the traps bang on it. If we can it is there for us.
Need to see the best of Rutter as a creative force tonight.
Be nice to see him pass the ball 🤦
This is another‘should win’ match.
Was wildly inaccurate with my prediction for the
Huddersfield game, so I’ll say a rather more 2-1 win for
Leeds.
Its a Yorkshire derby on a Friday night. Should be a cracker
5-1 Japan?
You're like one of those little kids they used to asked for score predictions on LUTV.
I will expect to see you coming out holding Coops' hand next time he starts a home match.
A view from the opposition if I may.
In response to what I've read/heard from a few Leeds fans.....
We are certainly not a team of bruisers/cloggers. We try and play football the right way and will look to get down the wings and play fast and on the counter.
We also played Tuesday and Saturday. Saturday was a local derby so I think it's only fair to say that tiredness will play a part for both teams.
We have won five out of the last six and yes those wins have come against teams low down in the table. However, when you are down there then any win can be difficult. Also, this is the championship where anyone can beat anyone. Didn't QPR win at Leicester recently.
Poveda will be a big miss for us. He reminds me of Forestieri. He is creative and good with the ball.
Since our manager came in we have seen performances improve. We were dead and buried under the last clown. This manager will be a top manager in the future. Unfortunately that won't be with us but we will enjoy him while we can. Since he was appointed only eight teams have got more points than us. We had three points from eleven games when he took over.
Anyway, safe short journey over tonight. For what it's worth I think you will go up automatically. Parachute payments etc really make a difference which makes the Ipswich story this season even more remarkable but that's for another day.
'Football's a funny old game' - never a truer statement.
A few weeks back, not withstanding my concern about fixture congestion and the Yorkshire derby element, this was going to be one of the easier 3 point possibilities on offer. Way off line with this one. Now firmly believing that this could be one of, if not the toughest fixture going.
Wednesday's recent form/results have been top draw. Still feel we can win but shaking off Tuesday's second half sluggishness has to happen, plus more ruthless finishing.
Definitely less 'fancy dan' stuff from Rutter.
Rest Cry? - has looked a bit jaded for several games.
I think we'll do better against Wednesday for the fact they will try to play football and not kick us to pieces. Cry to come off the bench for me along with Mateo. 1-3 with Bamford, Gnonto and Summerville to bag one off the bench.
Thanks for the thread Earl.
Yep, it’s gonna be a tough one this, they’re in good form and this is our 4th game in 10 days … I’m afraid it’s a 1-1 for me with Piroe getting ours.
Actually feel more nervous about tonight's game than I have about any other this calander year so any kind of victory will be an excellent one and so I will revert to my customerary one nil prediction. Shef Wed 0 Leeds 1
Rutter on bench for me. Easily our most creative player - has lost it a bit recently though, dunno he needs to be dropped to be rested or reality reasons.
Have been reluctant about Joseph- but looked bright and physically up for it. Throw him in.
Kamara another one that looks leggy, loses ball in key areas. Drop for Gray in middle.

Good assessment Sloppy.
Rohl is a good manager. Wednesday do play
some good football. Would not be surprised
if this is ends up being a hard fought draw.
Good luck tonight Sloppy. You're a good poster
