Apart from VDV it couldn't have gone any better. A 4 goal hammering with all our main forwards contributing, and a clean sheet for the defenders. We even overtook them for GD. Happy days.

I actually think it’s a strain, not a tear so I’d imagine he’ll be back after the international break. It does show there’s a weakness there though.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It's poor that it's happened again so quickly and could become a regular thing but yes it doesn't look as serious and if it means Drag gets a run out then it's worked out ok.

Poor first half but really turned it on second half.

nice to score 4 and keep a clean sheet

Fack you McGinn you dirty little mug.

Was a disgusting challenge …..villa have a few dirty players

Cash left one in on Johnson too….standard

Being a midlander and having a soft spot for wolves and a dislike for villa that was a great match and result

Not do or die, but vital to make it two points behind Villa and not EIGHT.

Just watching them again, Maddison’s was quite acrobatic, he had to get quite high, and it was one touch!

Not helped by the shear amount of sprints/recovery tackles/stretches he has to do.

Unless we change our style of play I'm not sure he's ever going to not do them. I must admit I was worried for him at the start of the match with the pitch being wet.

It was a must not lose as I still believe Man United are firmly in this. What the win does though is put Villa under serious pressure.

Well deserved win, we are better than Villa in my opinion and were robbed at home against them - hopefully right another unjust result in a few weeks away at West Ham.

You know we have a string of games coming up where we absolutely are not guaranteed points, including the 3 teams that are full on going for the title.

It’s not gonna be easy!

Why should I handle losing well? Why can’t I want my team to win and win well?

I honestly don’t get some of you on here.

you can want to win without throwing your toys out the pram when you lose

it's quite telling that you don't seem to get that

Well we can all experience and react to things in our own way.

Just be greatful we didn’t draw or lose, you’d have seen a VERY different article then.

Good to see Europe finally catching up with Villa and West Ham, this is where we need to just keep taking advantage

Good win we played well. Lets not forget Villa played a tough game Thursday against Ajax so we was fortunate from that point but a great win.

It’s the reality of becoming a top 4 team, you have to be able to balance these things.

I said in the threads building up to this game that all the pressure was on Emery and Villa, they are at the stick or twist point of the season - do you try and win the Conference league or do you try and qualify for the Champions league - I’m not sure this Villa side are capable of doing both

That wasn't fortune. Villa set up very negatively. Handed us the possession and momentum which cost them as they chased the ball a lot as a result.

Villa overthought the tactics and paid for it.
