Did you see Cash reaction after? He took it well

Loved the way Benta waited for an appropiate moment to send loveback to him!

I missed the game live. Did he dish out a dish served cold?!

Did anyone else watch the highlights on MOTD? I saw it live but it was the sort of game you don't mind watching the highlights of again to see the analysis. I don't know who was editing that game but it certainly wasn't a Spurs fan. They made it look like Villa dominated the first half and that it looked a bit of a smash and grab until we scored the second. Utter bullshiiiiit. We controlled them from start to finish but you'd never know that from the highlights. Waaannkers

Couldn’t agree more, the entirety of the first half highlights was Villa “chances” that resulted in our keeper making zero saves - you would never have though we had 70% possession.

Utterly bizarre editing

Completely expected that though. Our game could have been a 6-6 thriller, they still would have led with the other one given the title race and Pep vs Klopp.

The editing of our game was crazy though - I don’t remember Vicario having to make a single save yet they made it look like we were hanging on in the first half

The first half was not particularly entertaining, by virtue of the fact Villa parked the bus, at home and tried to play on the counter, with almost zero success.

I thought The Dragon looked nice and composed.

Yeah I saw it too and had the exact same thought, unbelievable really but I guess who cares. Glad I saw it live. We had 0 shots in the first half lol but were by far still the dominant team.

Similarly, any1 seen the Utd/Everton highlights on youtube? Exact same thing, made it look like Everton got absolutely dominated

The context is that Cash fouled Bentancur in the home game, reinjuring Bentancur - it was his second game back from a very lengthy lay off.

So it was a bit of retribution dished out by Bentancur

Cash was lucky Romero was on the opposite side of the pitch for most of the same

The Beeb even showed that Watkins miss which was offside. When was an offside miss ever a match highlight? Same in the 2nd half from Bailey.

oh come on ffs a bore draw? Are you even a fan of the sport?

As for the spurs game i watched that game and commented it needed a goal as both sides looked poor offensively first half with spurs gifting villa a few brilliant chances they still didnt look like scoring from. From that i prob felt Villa were probably slightly the better team as i felt they made less mistakes in possession.

Didnt see the motd highlight cant comment on that, not surprised though happens a lot. I often see highlights of a game and feel the same, did i watch the same game?

Our lot singing that when we went 3-0 up was amusing.

Yep, that was hilarious.

I get the first half was poor in terms of action and clear cut chances, but just show much less of it and more of the second half which was the opposite. Instead it’s like they tried to balance the halves out but filled it with 0 shots

One thing about the game yesterday was at 2-0 and them down to 10 men Spurs were controlled and looked after the ball better than they often have?

Getting the third and forth was a bonus but the clean sheet against a rival must have cheered the fans somewhat, have you had many others?

Yeah I watched the highlights of Liverpool v City and it seemed like a great game. Impressive to dominate City like that in the second half. I was just hoping for a winner, didn’t care who really.

I was lucky enough to be at Villa Park yesterday so couldn’t watch the match live.

On the first half, we controlled it pretty much in terms of possession but didn’t create anything which is why motd didn’t show us in possession. It wasn’t an anti-Spurs conspiracy.

They had a few chances to create something but fluffed it.

Wasn’t that impressed with Villa though tbh. Seemed like they were playing bit to lose rather than to win.

I'm alright with not being top billing... at the moment. We were often on more and had more coverage when we were competing under Poch. That's where we have to get to. I totally understand why City v Liverpool is the priority, even if it was a draw. In fact, it was by far the better game anyway. The Spurs game was so one-sided there's no way they'd put that on first.
