I was hoping for at least 6 per cent more effort than usual…

We`ve all been on Levy`s roundabout of achieving fack all for 23 years and are still stuck on it, going around in circles, achieving nothing other than to increase the value of ENIC`s investment.

We`ve tried all manner of managers, both serial winners, journeymen and up and coming coaches.

I am seeing no reason to think it will be any different under Ange.

This club has won 1 poxy League Cup in a quarter of a century, let that sink in.

I'm starting to question now whether we were that good at the start of the season. We had a good unbeaten run and beat some big teams, but we were lucky against Liverpool and United were kind of all over the place back then. Draw against Arsenal was a decent result but they are in better form since.

I don't know, I guess we are playing worse and we seem to be lacking some of that winning belief/momentum we had pre-injury crisis but perhaps also opponents have figured us out more.

Can you say we lost yesterday because VDV was absent? There's more to it now than losing the odd players. Some personnel are questionable but yesterday felt more like down to the mentality and approach.

On a lighter note, anyone seen that picture that looks like declan rice had an 'accident" in the Porto game....💩🤣
