Spurs are 7th in the injury table but have played a lot less games than those around them. It’s well over egged.
They were the third highest spenders in the world too.
They’d need a strong end to the season for it not to be considered very average imo.

Because it just showed that we haven’t really progressed at all.
Saw some quote from Ange earlier who’s now blatantly trying to manage expectations about Top 4.
Really not impressed.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We’ve gone from 8th to 5th whilst selling a generational talent. We’ve broken our consecutive scoring record and we’ve absolutely passed the eye test this year. We’ve seen drastic improvements in Richy and Porro.
We went to Fulham without arguably our most important player in this system VDV and blooded a new young CB.
What was your expectation for the season?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Consecutive scoring record
Spurs are a good side and I think you’ve got a good manager in Ange but considering the complete lack of distractions this year you should be getting top four with consummate ease. I don’t think your injuries have been as bad as some others too.
I think you’ll get fifth (you or United) and that’ll be enough for CL. Tbh you’d be better off in the Europa, football is far more interesting and you’d be immediate favourites.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We’ve had horrific injuries - right up there with the worst.
People keep forgetting we sold Kane in the summer but still managed to set that consecutive goal record. How many other teams fall apart when they sell their best player - we improved
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Actually considering you sold one player and brought many in, I’m not surprised you improved. Same happened to us when we sold Coutinho. We went and used the money to buy the right players and the rest is history.
Regarding injuries I think every team thinks this but I don’t think Spurs are even in the top 5 for worst teams with injuries. This season has just been an absolute car crash for injuries across the board.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We’ve had silly suspensions and international tournaments impact us also. I mean compare our availability record to Arsenal for instance.
We have improved - which shows we’ve spent well and I am confident that Paratici will do so further in the summer. It still takes time to bed in though - it’s been 6 new first team players, a new manager and a new system - to go into the final 10 games of the season being in a coin flip for 4th is a fine league showing in my opinion.
We were unlucky in the FA cup
Ange faaacked up in the league cup
The football has been far more entertaining, always goals with us.
I see us improving next year, I don’t think we’re even close to peak. Add in that Liverpool will go through a serious transition - could be like Fergie leaving United. Chelsea are nowhere these days and United still haven’t found the magic formula - we could kick on and be in amongst it with Arsenal next year.
But of luck City will get relegated or Pep faaacks off and we could even see trophies being shared a bit more

If I had said at the start of the season that Spurs would finish top 3 then I would have been called deluded - certainly by yourself Robbing.
So if we finish 4th - have we underperformed? I don’t think we have, not even slightly. New manager, half a new side, no Kane, new system.
We’ve reduced the points gap on all of City, Liverpool and Arsenal, but as expected not finished above them.
Furthermore we have the incentive that Liverpool are going to be going through a huge change in the summer, that could see them fall back in the pack like United did. So we could infiltrate the top 3
Well we’d just lost Sterling and we went deep in all competitions. We absolutely did have injuries and as said we didn’t spend over a QUARTER OF A BILLION. If you think Spurs are doing as well as they should given the spend and lack of European football crack on, doesn’t look like too many agree though.
You’re doing that thing where you’ll say absolutely anything though, so I’ll leave you to it.

Based on their performances, they have 6 points too many.
Don’t see any massive improvement from Spurs at all. Football is a bit easier on the eye but they are still shiiit. They are just fortunate the likes of United, Newcastle, Chelsea and Brighton have all been shiiiitter (and also distracted by Europe and/or domestic cup competitions).
