He is streaky, when he is on it though he is great and one of the few players in our squad constantly taking players on and often getting the better of them - look at his goal against Wolves. Also his delivery is usually class - he just doesn’t do it enough - the cross for Richy at Forest comes to mind.
Son, Richy, Kulu is a good combo as Richy gives Kulu something to aim for and Son stays wide. Son is usually good in the middle but does not suit Kulu as he is never in the box and is not a focal point
It would help if he has at least an average right foot, I think he has second thoughts about using it to walk on.
I'd consider experimenting with Porro as a wide attacker, but as you say, only with Richy in the middle
The rest of the season has to be
Son left
Richy Middle
? Right
Weird, I think he’s been one of our best players this season.

I like BJ there, and I think Kulu works when Richy is in the middle.
The player I want to see back is Solomon. I think he gives us legitimate width on the left hand side.
Werner is the utility man that can slot in anywhere and be just as effective/ineffective
Not so much a problem, I think he could play more central, defo need a winger who can get behind the fulbacks and also get it in early

Porro is good at that. The issue is with Son in the middle there is no one to aim for, Werner, Solomon and BJ are all midgets as well. That’s why Richy is so important to us
Yeah this is becoming an issue for Ange.
I think BJ absolutely has to play on the right.
Based on Saturday the midfield was the biggest problem. Completly over ran.
I have been frustrated by Kulu recently mainly because he does so well to beat his man (men sometimes) and then doesn't put the ball in instead turning and passing it back behind the players he has just beat. I wonder why he never changes sides sometimes to the left so he can whip the ball in from there? Defenders know he wants to cut inside to shoot so 9/10 shut that down.
His work rate is high hence why he doesn't get dropped but I'm not convinced that wide right is his best position
Something no one has mentioned which would be interesting would Kulu on the left and BJ on the right with Son playing off Richarlison. I could see that working best against low blocks.

Longer term he will surely move central. He and Porro have been quite effective but Fulham dealt with Porro well on Saturday and kept Kulu somewhat isolated.
He is incredibly frustrating when he turns into traffic and hits the fist defender with a shot

That was a crucial element of the match for me was how effective Robinson was down that side. We never gave him any thing to worry about and allowed it to raid forward. He did play well also. That was where I wanted to see a change happen... too predictable and out worked

Yeah Porro was rusty and the CM did not shift over and provide enough cover. That’s why I like Bentancur, he would have got involved there.
Ange got the line up wrong on Saturday, there is no doubt about that. It’s absolutely fine if he learns from it

No to the genocide denier / IDFs mouthpiece. Thanks
Kulu has been living off his incredible first half season with us. Last season he was poor and this season, while better, still incredibly frustrating and not good enough. I think its partly due to his place almost nailed on, doesn’t give much incentive to improve
So is he not good enough, or is he playing in the wrong position or both?
Last week Kulu was very good. There were players on Saturday who played well below what we expect from them. Son, Madders, Biss and Sarr as well.
Just as I thought BJ might have turned a corner against Villa he reverted to type before that game.

Everyone is allowed an opinion. Not really fussed about his beliefs are in what is a complicated situation. If he can get fit and add something to the team that's all that matters to me.
I wouldn't call him a big problem but he needs to do more in an attacking sense. 5 goals and 8 assists in 18 games in his first season. This season, 6 goals and 3 assists in 26. He might have had Kane back then to feed to but when our other attackers have more goal contributions in less minutes then there's no excuses really.
If we want to get to the levels of the likes of Liverpool, City and Arsenal then Kulu needs to step up or be replaced in the team.

The back 5 looks fine to me, and should only get better given the age. The midfield and attacking areas are where the work needs to be done most.
Well we better qualify for the CL then eh.
