In talks to get Grinder to sponsor the training kit

I quite like the fact that it's annoying the meathead brigade. It's just a tiny flag on the back of the neckline. It's not a new thing. There have been loads of kits that have subtle nods to inclusion and frankly, who is dumb enough to oppose that?

It's such a non-issue that you just knew the army of porkheads were going to bring the burning torches to the debate.

It's not for me but I imagine if I were someone that might have been ostracised from my community in any way, a tiny symbol from the football world that suggested I would be welcome is nothing but a good thing. Shame on those that say otherwise.

You do have to worry about this country when with all that going on in the world, this is what a large portion of the populace rage about.

We’re all doomed

I don't care what politicians do. To be fair both Starmer and Sunak have come out against it but only because they both recognise the need to appease the dumb in the lead up to a general election. You can bet your life that both of them, behind closed doors, couldn't give a shiiiit and they're right not to. I loathe democracy sometimes. There are too many idiots.

Starmer continued: “I’m not even sure they can properly explain why they thought they needed to change in the first place. They could also reduce the price of the shirts.”

Perhaps it is because people are just sick of all this absolute forced inclusion crap. If the people, and by people I mean deranged fascists who just shout rather than have a conversation, that have taken over the LGB movement (and set it back decades for what they rightly fought for) don't like a countries flag, or need it to be changed so their delusions, they should seek help. Flags should not be desecrated in any way.

I don't know what your background is but surely it's not for you or me to decide if it's necessary or not. I'm a straight, white male. I don't need to be represented because frankly the world is built for people like me. I'd imagine that if you're marginalised by the colour of your skin, gender or sexual preference, that the alpha world of football can be a pretty isolating and unforgiving place. I don't really care about the tiny little flag but I bet someone, somewhere will look at that and say the sport has come a long way since the 70s where gay footballers committed suicide and black footballers were subjected to bananas being thrown on the pitch. The fact that that flag has been altered on the collar speaks of how far we've come. We should just be grateful we live in a country where diversity IS celebrated.

I think you should think about which 'people' are genuinely upset by the issues you're talking about and what their motivations are. Seems like a pretty nasty little corner of the internet, to me. Cos it's certainly not most regular folks who just want to get on and be happy.
