Well assessed

Loads of very poor performances.

But we scored 3 and missed two absolutely sitters and firpo also missed a great chance.

πŸ’― Far from our best but still won the game without the Bamford/Firpo chances being taken. I kind of feel it is in the stars that Ipswich go up, given their late winners and opposition errors leading to goals but perhaps that is the Leeds pessimist in me. MOT

We dodged a bullet tonight and while 3pts is amazing, it’s worrying ghat we can be so off the game against two average sides on the trot.

Just watched brief highlights. Yes Bamford’s miss was poor from him but Joseph’s miss was just as poor.

As for “lightweight midfield” do you see anything in Gruv yet? Just wondered since he’s been out the last two games and our midfield has been second best for large parts of both games.

I don't think we've played particularly well for a few weeks now, we've won yes but the results have flattered us.
The obvious game was the Leicester game but there's been others. Stoke, Huddersfield, Sheffield Wed.

The only thing that's in the stars is my head. What does this team do to us?

We were poor again tonight. But, we won. And
I'd rather win, than look or play great at this stage.

Bamford needs to be dropped. Awful.

Bamford put himself about

^^^

I read this a lot on here. He's the least physically
imposing striker in the league. He wouldn't say
boo to a goose. He runs around a lot. So do
headless chickens.

Thought we were comprehensively out played. Look flat, players looking for others to step up, wasteful with the ball and ineffective without it. Well and truly got away with one tonight, not been the first time, been plenty of sub par performances, but with a 100 mil team in the 2nd division, you can get away with it. Need to play against Coventry away. Carry on playing like that and well be biting knuckes as the nails and fingers would have gone.

How can you say that, Stoopo? That ball was on a plat for Bamford. He was two yards out, unchallenged, and he put it over the bar. Joseph actually checked his run to make himself available for the pass. There were two players on him and he was unlucky to hit the post.
Chalk and cheese, Stoopo, one of them is a striker and the other one is Bamford.

Joseph was very unlucky with that shot i thought. Did his best despite players around him. Even started the move.

Thought on occasion, especially in the first half, we did ourselves no favours and could have taken a lot more care with the ball, case in point, Byram, I know he scored the first goal but at throws, throwing it straight to a Hull player.
Too many times the ball was given away un-necessarily.

My other thought was, just how many Leeds rejects are there dotted around the championship, playing out of their skins, trying to make a point about how they could been a contender.
Coyle last night, Kitching at the weekend, Pollock the other day.

We didnt play well at all, but completely outplayed 🀷🏻‍♂️

People can have different ways of looking at a game, and that fine but

Meisler didnt have a save to make.

They had two shots on target, the goal, and a pee roller from 20 yards out in 98 minute.

Didnt create much really, whilst looking dangerous.

We scored 3 goals, Bamford miss of season, him blocking that just before half time, Joseph, missed a sitter, Firpo should have buried his header.

We had miles better chances. We just never controlled the game, very sloppy

Hull played well but basically the game remained in front of, not behind Rodon and Ampadu. Yes we were a bit flat, courtesy of International duties but I can see an argument where we should have won 4 or 5 - 1.

...also Archie and Kamara were both a bit lightweight tonight. ( Dont like being too critical of Archie because he's still so young).

It was a bit bizarre of Hull not to start with a recognised striker. I think if they had they'd have created far more chances.

I wouldn't call the Joseph shot 'a sitter'. Think you need to watch it again.

yes, Gray had little influence tonight, the whole team played below par.

Farke gave some explanations regarding individuals, but we did look very lost overall.

I think there were a couple of passes into our 6 yard box that they just couldnt capitalise on and when they did, they scored, I think we were really lucky they missed that focal point striker.

They also had that curler just wide of our post that was another close shave for us.

They we're all over us in our box, but they did have their chances.

I was just behind the goal, and seen a reply of it.

Sitter 🀷🏻‍♂️

I actually thought Firpo was our best player today. Other than diving in when he got booked thought he defended well and supported our attack.

Yeah you are correct in that we had much the better chances. I know its not everyone's cup of tea but we had an xg of 3 whilst there's was just over .5. Only real chance in 2nd half was when they bent it round the post. Only thing I disagree with is Summervilles shot was going wide when it hit Bamford.

Morning all🌞. Ok, just a couple of thoughts to share … the gaps in front of our back 4 where Gruev normally plays were frightening at times (they exploited one such gap to create the cross for their goal) … and Paddy shouldn’t play for us in the Premier League.

Anyway, absolutely delighted with the result and a much needed breather now before a tough Coventry game.
