We have certainly missed Gruev these last few games. Although i think tiredness has played a huge part in us not being able to control games like normal.
Hopefully a few days rest and we'll be back at it next game

We didnt play well at all, but completely outplayed 🤷🏻♂️
People can have different ways of looking at a game, and that fine but
Meisler didnt have a save to make.
They had two shots on target, the goal, and a pee roller from 20 yards out in 98 minute.
Didnt create much really, whilst looking dangerous.
We scored 3 goals, Bamford miss of season, him blocking that just before half time, Joseph, missed a sitter, Firpo should have buried his header.
We had miles better chances. We just never controlled the game, very sloppy
----------------------------------------------------------------------
To say we were outplayed is wrong, for a lot of the game Hull were playing the better football without creating very much. Our defence looked as it has most of the season quite solid and our stand out player was Rodon.
We weren't able to retain possession in midfield in the first half, Gray and Kamara showed they weren't used to playing together and we clearly missed Gruev there. Archie is a prospect but I wonder whether we expect to much of him.
The sky sports team pointed out, and Jonty has run with this, that Hull lacked a natural finisher, you point to the fact that Meslier was rarely troubled last night, this was an indicator of Hull's shortcomings more than our superiority.
They also pointed to the fact that despite all of their domination of the ball we looked more dangerous with it. Blackburn beat Sunderland 5:1 despite having only 45% possession.
As for the chances, Bamford should have scored, you're right, but I can forgive the other two, Joseph was unlucky hitting the post and wasn't quite a sitter as it was a bit out and whilst Firpo's header should have tested the keeper, I think they are never easy.
As the game wore on the more comfortable it became and Hull certainly didn't look like they would score in the second half.

Hull played well but basically the game remained in front of, not behind Rodon and Ampadu. Yes we were a bit flat, courtesy of International duties but I can see an argument where we should have won 4 or 5 - 1.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think there were a couple of passes into our 6 yard box that they just couldnt capitalise on and when they did, they scored, I think we were really lucky they missed that focal point striker.
They also had that curler just wide of our post that was another close shave for us.
They we're all over us in our box, but they did have their chances.

It was a bit bizarre of Hull not to start with a recognised striker. I think if they had they'd have created far more chances.
I wouldn't call the Joseph shot 'a sitter'. Think you need to watch it again.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I was just behind the goal, and seen a reply of it.
Sitter 🤷🏻♂️
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Actually had a look at the replay, not as far out as I remember and it was middle of the goal, easier to get it on target than hit the post, but he did have a defender breathing down his throat so has a bit of an excuse.
Sitter but with mitigation.

Yes.
We played very poorly against one of the better gootballing sides in the division yet Meslier had very little to do and we could have scored five.
We haven't concdeded a second half goal in months snd our scoring rate last 10 mins has been invaluable.
Victories like last night are the key to success
We're going up.
I'm not sure what I saw yesterday, because I saw Joseph infront of goal with a player or two coming at him, the keeper trying his bit to stop him, and him jinking the ball to the right of them all, hitting the post!..
If he'd hit it straight he'd be getting crap because someone in front of him would have stopped it, he tried sending it to the side and hit the post, if that'd gone in it would have been a supper goal!..
He did everything he could have with that shot and was unlucky it hit the outer side of the post and not the inner!..
I know Leicester won the League In Nov, and are above us in the table with plenty of games in hand, still think we have a good shout at winning it
Kamara played with an illness and Rodon had injections to get his though the game due back spasms.

I think some players were well below 100% for a variety of health reasons, both last night and against Watford. The welsh contingent have had a hell of a few days physically and emotionally I'd imagine. Still picking up wins and points.
I thought Coyle bossed Bamford for the most part.
Good performance last night I thought, stuck at it and got the points, despite not looking at our best. We'd have lost that in seasons gone by.
Hull had so much possession first 45, but was played in our half mostly passing around full backs to centre backs, we had no bite in midfield and chased shadows, when they did manage to put a good ball into the box there was absolutely no one attacking it. It got us off the hook.
Second half more even, but we were so off the pace, it’s a good job 4th down in the table are mostly very poor sides, because higher level you can’t get away with being that poor and still coming out 3-1 winners, the difference at the moment is we have premier league attackers who score every game no matter how we play.
Surely one of the reasons Hull were able to retain posession of the ball so well was because they had extra midfielders on the field rather than strikers?

they can all get some rest, recharge, and be back to

Leeds United manager Daniel Farke told BBC Radio Leeds:
"There was no doubt this was a well-deserved win. I think we had six times the amount of expected goals that they had, but it was a complicated game for us.
"For many of my players it was their third game in six days because they've played on Tuesday or Wednesday on international duty.
"We had many problems, but the biggest problem was we played a really good side here, they are a really good possession side.
"If you analyse their results against the top sides they never lose because they have many, many good footballers and they set traps, and if you go into those traps and press them too much they can hurt you by attacking the space in behind with lots of pace and individual quality."

I'm sure like me everyone else is trying to work out or foresee the results or likely results of all the remaining fixtures for Leeds and our rivals for automatic and arrive at a number like I do that just seems crazy to think that to be assured of a top 2 spot we're more than likely to need at least 99 or even 100 points... unless some freak results happen which I'm not ruling out because the teams at the bottom are well capable of doing that so if that does happen then maybe 96 could be enough but that's still a ridiculously high and unprecedented amount of points needed to clinch a golden ticket back to the Premier league.

Just watched brief highlights. Yes Bamford’s miss was poor from him but Joseph’s miss was just as poor.
As for “lightweight midfield” do you see anything in Gruv yet? Just wondered since he’s been out the last two games and our midfield has been second best for large parts of both games.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
How can you say that, Stoopo? That ball was on a plat for Bamford. He was two yards out, unchallenged, and he put it over the bar. Joseph actually checked his run to make himself available for the pass. There were two players on him and he was unlucky to hit the post.
Chalk and cheese, Stoopo, one of them is a striker and the other one is Bamford.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
A decent striker, on a good day, scores with both those chances 9 times out of 10.
Coming on with 10/15 minutes left when their defenders are starting to tire is much easier for any striker worth his salt.
It’s obvious I’m a Bamford fan and I look at his game quite a lot. His movement is usually excellent and he creates spaces for others to score. He chases down defenders and that goes a long way to tiring them over 90 mins.
For me he is probably just about past his best now and I’d have no issues with trying Joseph - but I think Farke will stick with PB because he knows how much work he does for the team. Plus, to be fair, our run since the New Year has coincided with Bamford coming back into the team - as well as Gruev replacing our new left sided centre back, Ampadu.
On another topic - how are Leicester not on a points penalty by now? Their losses are horrendous and in my opinion penalties should carry over to whatever league a team is in. They lost £89m last season so have obviously benefitted from that in the Championship. They simply have better players due to their overspending.
