Good luck to you OP.

Refreshing to see fans with reasonable expectations and gratitude for tangible progress of a club, even if it doesn't culminate in a trophy.

I would of course wish for you to win the ECL and come 5th. That gets you into the Europa next season as a minimum, and hopefully we pinch 4th off you to guarantee UCL.

I think it is close to 10,000 now. Genuinely every day, several times per day, for most of the season.

Winning The Conference is the most important thing this season. Nobody cares who finishes 2nd,3rd or 4th af the end of the day, you get nothing and have nothing to show for it. Clubs like ours, Spurs and Newcastle haven't the squad or depth to go far yet in that competition but with fully fit squads then The Europa League seems ideal. We'd all be seen as strong contenders.

We're a progressive club playing our first European campaign in over a decade. We need to adapt and grow and see how far we can go. All 3 Clubs are in desperate need of silverware and I for one would rather go all out in cup competitions over the ridiculous notion that 4th spot is seen an elite achievement.

And it wasn't funny the first time.....

Genuinely can’t understand Spurs fans interest in getting Champions League? Zero chance of progress in the knockout stages anyway.

On the other hand, they could have a real chance of getting to the final of the Europa before bottling it and Spursing it up.

I've had a good at the fixtures for yourselves and Spurs and being honest, I think you've got a bloody good shout of sealing 4th. You've got some tough away games to Brighton and Palace but really you've only got two of the top six left. We've still got to play...

Newcastle away
Arsenal home
Chelsea away
Liverpool away
City at home

so 5 of our last 8 are really really tough fixtures. I always said that in order to get ahead of you, we needed a buffer going into these run of fixtures. We don't. We're 2 points behind albeit with a game in hand.

I'm torn about the CL. We need the money to rebuild and attract players but now teams can't drop into the Europa League anymore, I'm not sure there's any gain. We can't win it but we can with the Europa. Same goes for Villa. It's a strange one. We've been conditioned into believing the CL is the holy grail but it's not if you're just making up the numbers.

If it helps us recruit well then fine but let's not kid ourselves. It's too early for both teams to be qualifying for it. Look at Newcastle. Battered and they've taken two steps back. I'll be happy just to be back in Europe, which both sides are pretty much guaranteed now.

I just checked and can confirm that it is funny. People mistake top 4 for meaning CL qualification and don't realise that 5 into 4 doesn't go. They then proceed to answer the question, without realising it's an impossible scenario. It works on so many levels. But mainly only that one. It shall be continued for the foreseeable.
