I mean I would like it to stay in Sheffield but when you can make so much more money in a bigger venue, surely they will eventually move. Most players are fine with it too. So it seems inevitable to me.
I would like the World championship to stay in Sheffield big we shall see what happens. Money talks!
I can appreciate the history of the Crucible etc, but the fact that the UK and Masters are held at bigger venues doesn't feel right.
I think you should be getting as many fans as possible for the WC - I tried a couple of times to get tickets for the final and just got stuck in queues.
I still like the idea of it remaining in the same venue - I am sure there was talk of building a purpose-built arena in Sheffield for it.
The Crucible is just not a big enough venue, trying to get tickets is almost impossible, it only holds around 900 spectators. They should seek a larger venue in Sheffield or move it around year on year.
Have it in large capacity arenas, maybe take it to China once every few years, have it in Scotland, Wales etc
was the first one 77? got to stay for the 50 years!
plus one so the 50 year anno can be done properly.
The current contract stays with the Crucible until 2027, but I assume something will be announced a good bit before then about the future

You say that, but having 2 tickets for Monday night and trying to sell them has been an absolute nightmare! What would it be like with a 2/3k venue in Sheffield?!
Love the Crucible & all the history, it is snookers Wembley, but Wembley is the biggest venue in England.. The Crucible isn't... I'd love to see the world championship stay in the UK, NEVER the middle east thank you very much... I'd love the Crucible still to have a tournament, but I can't see the Crucible holding the tournament after 2027, sadly
Well here we are chaps.... 17 days.... 👏👏
I'm missing the morning session hopefully I'll be back in time for Judds match this afternoon.
I've got a massive relegation football match to attend... But I have a smart phone 👏😁
Good luck Huddersfield and Arsenal today
My plans have now changed so I'm doing fack all so I'll get to watch the morning session now lol.

Over the years, what's your best match from each round?
I'm not gonna think too hard and give a few options
1st Round - Judd vs Thepchaiya 2019
2nd Round - Jimmy White Vs Stephen Hendry - 1988
Quarter Final - Ronnie Vs Higgins - 1996 or Hendry Vs Doherty 2002
Semi Final - Ronnie vs Selby - 2020 (although there are endless options here)
Final - Steve Davis Vs Dennis Taylor - 1985
Final -
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The obvious semi finals for me are:
2020: Ronnie vs Selby and Kyren vs McGill
2022: Judd vs Williams
2023: Luca vs Si
2003: Hunter vs Doherty
Not Bingham Trump from 2015
Brecel goes home today. Judd might also be in trouble at the interval.
10-7 Gilbert beats Brecel
6-3 Judd’ll trail

I'd take that
I actually think the other way around, Gilbert is soft mentally, & he'll lose 10-7, Judd will be 6-3 up...
I think Luca will win 10-8. Judd to hopefully lead 6-3 but he needs to be near his best and can't afford to start too slowly
brecel's defence of his trophy off to a rocky start as the ref asks why he's not wearing a bow tie
91 break from Luca and he wins the opening frame. Great start from him.
