What a result for Jones! Will Robbo get to the Crucible again is the more pertinent question Wetherby
Wtf was up with the coverage? My Discovery stream just disappeared before the decider, then the Youtube stream decided to split screen with Day vs Donaldson ffs.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
😂 Duel screen was terrible... Avoid Lisowski & Vafaei for me now
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Si
Joe O'connor beats Selt & is the only debutant... Roll on the draw!

?
Robbo's decline shows no sign of stopping
what's happened to him ?
too many computer games or summat
Probably a mixture of fatherhood, generally other things in life, and if you lose focus on your snooker life I guess you will dip a little. Similar happened to Ding.
And then it's a case of how much desire you have to try and get back.
It's easy to forget that the likes of Ronnie, Higgins and Williams is not the norm in terms of their longevity - these are 3 of the greatest 10 players of all time.
If you currently look at more recent players, you would say that currently only Selby could be considered in such a list by the end of his career. Someone like Trump would need to win a few more triple crown events.
And I have said this in another thread, but I can't see any new young starts really coming through atm.
are any snooker players up at 8.45am?
that bottom half is a nightmare
Luca Brecel v David Gilbert
Robert Milkins v Pang Junxu
Ali Carter v Stephen Maguire
Shaun Murphy v Lyu Haotian
Mark Selby v Joe O'Connor
Kyren Wilson v Dominic Dale
John Higgins v Jamie Jones
Mark Allen v Robbie Williams
Judd Trump v Hossein Vafaei
Tom Ford v Ricky Walden
Zhang Anda v Jak Jones
Mark Williams v Si Jiahui
Ding Junhui v Jack Lisowski
Gary Wilson v Stuart Bingham
Barry Hawkins v Ryan Day
Ronnie O'Sullivan v Jackson Page
Tough draw for Judd 3rd year in a row he has a tough 1st round opponent.
I had a feeling John would get Jones, he will be confident after beating Robbo.
Even if John does well in this tournament, its going to be a tough watch. Potentially Allen then Slowby 😭

Judd does get some tough draws, doesn't he?
Ronnie used to get the same in the 2000s decade
However, Judd did have quite straightforward first round opponents in 2017 and 2018 and he really struggled, so maybe it might benefit him
2 days to go folks... Looking forward to it as always.. Stand out ties.. Judd v Vafaei, & Ding v Lisowski
Judd has Mark Williams poss in the QF,, Ronnie in a decent quarter, poss run to the semi, Page, Hawkins, Ding/Lisowski...
People talk about good and bad draws, but there are always a few upsets and more often than not at least one surprise semi-finalist.
I think Ding will be ok against Lisowski - Lisowski is such an open player, than even if he's on it, he will give up chances, so hoping Ding's better all round game and general break-building will see him through
Let's hope we get a lot of decent matches.
Schedule properly updated.
Over the years, what's your best match from each round?
I'm not gonna think too hard and give a few options
1st Round - Judd vs Thepchaiya 2019
2nd Round - Jimmy White Vs Stephen Hendry - 1988
Quarter Final - Ronnie Vs Higgins - 1996 or Hendry Vs Doherty 2002
Semi Final - Ronnie vs Selby - 2020 (although there are endless options here)
Final - Steve Davis Vs Dennis Taylor - 1985
Final -
I really wish there was an edit option
