There's no possible chance that this is just bad luck at this point. The training sessions, recovery sessions and medical team needs a full audit like everything else at the club.

This number of injuries for a team that was eliminated in the group stage of the CL and very early on in the Carabao Cup is quite frankly a joke.

Sack the lot of them and start again.

This is where we find out that we have a dietitian who feeds them pizza, really spicy Currys, doner kebabs, krispy Kreme doughnuts, mars bars and a 1000 calorie white chocolate milkshake as a post game replenishment meal.

If the results of the audit are a foregone conclusion, why have an audit? If what we need is to sack everyone and start again, then a detailed, factual analysis of operations surely just delays the rebuild.

While it doesn't necessarily satisfy our emotional needs, the awkward truth is that there are probably lots of highly able people doing good work within a structure that doesn't effectively harness this, and getting rid of everyone and starting from scratch isn't the most efficient means or shortest pathway to having an elite performance organisation.
