Why is Klopp being treated like a protected species? I saw 2 grown men argue and one has a history of arguing with players, refs, managers, and TV reporters while the other has done nothing of such in 7 years. Yes he might have the odd personal fit when being subbed off but his behaviour has been impeccable since the day he walked in on and off the pitch.

I think that's a fair point. But tbh if I was a Liverpool fan I'd just let them get on with it and not even bother taking sides. It'll probably all have blown over by now anyway.
Maybe I'm just too used to this sort of shiiit at United so am kind of immune to it now and just see how things play out before deciding who is at fault, if there is even need to find fault
Neither of them will be there next season, so it doesn’t really matter. Klopp’s authority as manager was diminished when he resigned. Now Slot has been appointed it’s gone altogether. Shame it comes down to scenes like that though.

All managers, or most managers have a similar history. He's not being treated like a protected species. He's a manager. Furthermore, Klopp doesn't have a history of arguing with players any more than any other manager. You can't accuse him of that IMO.
Klopp's been a manager well over 20 years and dealt with hundreds of players and known characters. Still, I've never seen that personally. He doesn't have a history of arguing on the touchline with players. He didn't even argue with Salah and tried to avoid an embarrassing confrontation.
For Salah to act like he's gonna approach Klopp and has to be stopped by teammates is pathetic and ridiculous. No matter what was said, it achieves nothing to react like that for the cameras. He's just being a drama king and there's better, more effective ways to handle anything anyway. Respect to Salah but let's not make excuses because he's been our best player for ages.

Salah may have been out of order, but he's been such a huge part of what you've achieved too. He was annoyed at being dropped and confronted the manager when he definitely shouldn't have and made a scene. hey shoved a mic in his face. But it's a single instance in a years-long relationship that's worked wonders for the club.
At least give Mo a chance to sleep on it and see if he back-pedals and they iron it out. Calling for him to be sold just because he had a tiff with the manager and dropped an unfortunate soundbite is way ott.
He should be sold while his stock is still relatively high. His behavior yesterday only enforces that. The recent performances and attitude from Salah looks like a glimpse of the future with life after Klopp to me. Big egos on big contracts who thinking they will be able to call the shots. Don’t think that’s the type of personality you want around when a new manager comes in.

Fair enough and good points, but this tiff isn't the only reason he should be sold. There's other reasons.
I'd also prefer Slot come into a dressing room without that ego. If he can do that to Klopp for dropping him then what will he do to Slot, when him being dropped is inevitable because of his atrocious form?
Slot doesn't even command as much respect as Klopp yet. Salah isn't the first player to be dropped and frustrated. He is also declining rapidly if we're being honest. Best time to part ways.

Wonder how much Klopp has brought on these problems and this collapse himself by announcing his retirement so early on. Must be weird having chosen a new manager for next season already while games are being played. When Fergie announced his retirement they had won the league by then, but to do it when you're in the hunt for a quad still with practically half the season to go?

I see that his contract ran until 2026, that was when he had signed an extension just the year before this season. So it seems feasible he could have delayed announcing his retirement until later on.
I'm not saying it's what's caused the collapse, I'm just putting the question out there. It seems like they were still continuing in good form after his announcement but I suppose once all the links about next managers come through it must be strange for the players, if not a distraction. And the closer it gets to the end of the season and after a bad result or 2, it must slip into their thinking how the manager's not going to be here for very long.
I get the question but even looking at your own logic and points, and applying Occam's razor, then it's probable the club made the announcement to beat the media from making the announcement anyway.
