A ball hitting your hands because you can't control the way you jump to head a ball is quite different to putting your arm out when you are behind the goalkeeper. I didn't think it was a red though

Var has introduced a weird system of giving meaningless advantage to teams when they should just call the game as they see it

It's definitely led to referees getting more decisions wrong in real time, which absolutely should not have been the intent of the system.

It looks like refs aren't calling fouls in the hope that if the attacking team score then var will pick it up. It allows for too much ambiguity

I'm not sure if this has happened yet but imagine a player pulls a hamstring running for a ball that is clearly offside but the player is playing the whistle. A multi million pound asset potentially needlessly injured

The worst thing var has done is completely ruin the match day experience. At least at home you can hear and understand why something is going on. You can't celebrate any goal

The best refereed sport is ice hockey. Refs call the obvious fouls but if you do something snide then you are likely to get punched in the face or checked hard enough that you'll reevaluate your decision

I was thinking earlier imagine having a front 3 of Silva cantwell and morelos going into a title deciding old firm match at celtic park. 2 out of 3 are getting sent off or doing something insane or winning the game 3-0

That game yesterday was our best 90 minutes since, well, I can't remember, as it's been that long ago.

Hopefully we've got our spark back, and it's everyone firing on all cylinders for the home stretch.

"But okay, we will see. It's not really respectful towards my team. That is what I think. So I will never say things like that about an opponent.

"I am looking forward to that (game) and to be honest as a manager I would love that it was tomorrow instead of next week - but that is maybe not so good for my players.

"We are really hungry for that game. Six months ago we were seven points behind and now we are three points behind and we can go equal. The team has already done a lot of steps and now it is about making the next step."
