I’ve read a couple of pieces on Southgate and Utd. That Ratcliffe first wants a manager whom he trusts to come in and sort out the attitudes in the squad and move on who isn’t right in that regard, which apparently Southgate is very good at.
Kind of makes sense for a couple of years while they sort out the back room stuff,
I'm not allowing my brain to accept the idea of southgate.
What is obvious that under ETH Sancho has no future at United. Erik gave him chances to get back into his reckoning but finally made his decision on this player after their relationship broke down. You cant have both still at the club, if you even still want either.
Sancho’s finished at United.
I wouldn't take him back no. I don't think he wants to play for us any longer
I don't think he wants to play for us any longer
----------------------------------------------------------------------
that's just as well then.
For me Erik gave him a break to reset and get over the disappointment of the last WC omission. Imo Erik DID put an arm around him and gave him space / the time that he needed but Sancho did not improve afterwards. So for me that is on the player

Difficult to work out if the sourness is between Sancho and Ten Hag or Sancho and Manchester United.
I still think he will be sold be that to Dortmund or to another club.
He was very good in the first leg and better than Mbappe in both but one swallow does not make a summer.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Mbappe hit the woodwork twice, they go on and he’s the star of the show.
I don’t think Sancho actually provided a threat on goal at all? Tidy, kept the ball well, a lot of dribbles (mostly in the middle third), but nothing groundbreaking and Dortmund probably qualify if Sancho wasn’t playing,
I’m glad for Jadon, I’d rather he was playing and happy, but let’s not make out he’s anything special.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He was decent and Mbappe was Mcrappe

It kind of does make sense in the sense that he's stage 1 - create a functioning team and improve the culture.
It's that fans will always seek the next stage being a winning team, one he's got no experience in and not shown any real promise in either.
I like this analogy. It would mean that Mourinho’s stage 3.
Has he sorted out his mental issues yet?
That’s what people put his time at United down to right?
Can United afford to carry any more passengers at this point?
I always back the manager
There are two things players must do. First to look after himself sway from the club.
Second try every game.
In two semi final games, he performed well. I see people trying to put down his performances.
Even elite players like Mbappe, I do not see them shining both legs. We are talking Cristiano and Messi if you want to see that level.
The truth of the matter is, the lad has gone to Dortmund, done well for himself in a champions league final. Be happy for him. Stop the hating.
Good to see him doing well
No better shop window than a CL final
Then get rid of him
He deserves a chance under the next manager. That is if he wants to play for us again. He’s shown in both legs of a CL semi how good he is so hopefully next season he comes back and shows that for us as he’s clearly better than what he showed for us.
He definitely won't come back with Ten Hag as manager. Apparently his loan expires before the CL finals. Need to resign a loan deal for him.
It's clear his problem was one that was manageable, if you were hood at managing players, something I strongly doubt Ten Hag is good at
We should recall him from his loan before the final.
The people who say he didn't do much in the two games... I genuinely don't know what to say.
It's the exact kind of performance people scream out for on here. Discipled, tenacious, skilful, technical.
Quite why we didn't see that level at UTD is a question none of us can answer... But let's not downplay anything from the two semis, he was very, very good.

Obviously they would rely on feedback from the manager and coaches, but wouldn't that be the role of the football director
Sancho is clearly a very good player but I think he's the kind of character that's easily influenced by those around him. At Dortmund he has good pros guiding him but at United, those same ones stinking the place out, playing the blame game, are the ones in his ear. If he knows what's good for him, he'll stay away.
You need to forget about finding room for mavericks like Sancho and start focusing on really good pros, a bit like Newcastle did when Howe went there. You clearly have an attitude problem in the dressing room so until that's cleared, any top player you do sign will likely be influenced by the bad eggs. It's happened time and time again over the last few years. They need rooting out as a matter of priority otherwise the likes of Mainoo, Garnacho and Hojlund will be the next ones on the bad attitude production line. It's already had a major effect on Rashford. That's why I'm not surprised Southgate has been touted. He'd be perfect to galvanise this group and turn the mood around. He might not be the man to return you to dominance but, at this stage, that's less important than stopping the rot.

Have you ever wondered if it could be Rashford who is the negative attitude within the squad?
The only ever present since LVG promoted him.
Undoubtedly popular within the squad.
Clearly capable of having a sulk or throwing a wobbly.
