Fair enough, I weren't there. What about the fan shouting at him from behind the dugout? The Arsenal chants? I'm only going on what I've read
I can't believe some of the comments in this thread.
The reality is that our midfield has not been as strong as it should be, hence still having to rely on the likes of Hojbjerg.
Bissouma went completely off the boil after his suspensions and going off to play in the Afcon
Sarr is young, so inconsistency is expected. Also I don't think it helped that he had to go off to the Afcon too.
Bentancur is still trying to find his pre injury form. I actually think he has shown good quality at times, but his game is about taking chances with forward balls and this is not coming off as regular as it used to.
Maddison is only now (as of last night) finding his pre injury form
The front three are our weakest link IMO.
This all puts pressure on the defence and hence why we concede so many goals.
Let's give Ange time to address this. Gosh, do some of you really want to get back on the managerial merry go round?!

Honestly not here to argue with each point, but my comments to those:
- 1 fan as far as I am aware
- arsenal chants, that was to be expected. That's not a small. Club mentality. Chelsea literally walk out on to the pitch every single home game to a chant of "we hate Tottenham, chelsea" and they have won shet loads.
I felt uncomfortable lastnight as I was one of those who wanted City to win.
Football fans are very partisan, more than any other sport I know. Lastnight was expected and any other club fans would have been the same.
The key for me is, the players were professional and gave it their all to win. Just weren't good enough. That's more important than how fans felt IMO
The only disgrace around Spurs is ENIC & Levy

Very fair assessment which i agree with.
I guess the unknown is, are these just dips in form or are some of these players simply not going to fit the system.
On paper, Biss/Sarr/Bents/Madds are very good options but it just hasnt clicked since the ACFON. Doesnt help that it changes every week tbh, sometimes through no choice, sometimes its Ange's choice.
The front 3 are unbalanced. We need a striker and i actually think Richi has done well this season and we have looked much more balanced and threatening when he's played. I'd keep him and add another goal scorer because pace, pace and pace up front has been easily shut down at times this season.
Richi actually has 11 goals in about 1500 minutes, which is equivalent to 2 goals every 3 games. 4 assists so a goal or assist every 100 minutes. And that's in a season disrupted by injury
Levy slowly and surely seeing off yet another manager.
The club needs a massive reset from the top down, it's the only way the mentality surrounding Spurs will ever change.
Ange has been getting increasingly grouchy with each passing week. He's going to go full on Wolf Creek mode if he carries on.
Just as well we're coming to the end of the season but I do wonder how this summer is going to go with Levy with Ange in the current mood he's in.

People who are getting play out of this, in my opinion, are just being wilfully selective in how they quote him, or are just lack intelligence to understand what he is saying and the context
---
I think it's more that they know he's probably right, that match going fans were shouting at the manager to lose, doing the Poznan etc. but that's too hard to admit so they just say 'yeah but you did..' as if it makes them right.
What I would say, like with Conte, is that even if he is right (and I think he probably is on this occasion) it's a dangerous game to play. Cos like taking on the players, the manager is always going to change before anything else. That's just the reality of it. Even though it'd be the second successful manager we've sacked for saying wtf is going on here instead of addressing wtf is going on here

It is odd that he suddenly changed his tune about where we finish and his in games tactics.
Like you I would have much preferred him to have kept his mouth shut and concentrate on the job at hand. Our problems are far worse than just a one game result, he's said as much too.
His pop at the fan behind him yesterday kind of tells a story in itself. Yes he has the right to reply but so do the fans.
I'm starting to think is he working his way cleverly to get the sack and a pay day. Maybe he just does not fancy it any more and will walk......
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He hasnt changed his tune about anything.
As long as anything was achievable, anything was our goal. When only 4th became achievable, 4th became our goal.
And how has he changed game tactics....an approach that looks to be front foot, attacking, aggressive and playing to win can be tweaked and refined without it being a "changed tune"
I think we have some of the thickest fans in the land, with most populating this sitewho deserve being popped at by Ange.
