If we cannot cope with the least amount of games in a season since 2004/2005 and the least amount of ALL premier league clubs. Europe will be a challenge.

Only matched by Sheffield United as the least amount of games played by premier league clubs which should say everything.

Yeah agree, good to be back in Europe.. I think our style may cause a lot of teams problems and cause some surprises.

The squad needs major work to be able to cope with it though but we all know that.

So do i sadly been saying it for weeks. I think everyone has gone crazy over last night we played much better but thats based off of being humilated by arsenal, chelsea. We lost 2-0 to a team we usually beat. We still lost.

Our only win was scraped via Burnley. Fearing a shock lost.

Hoping im wrong cos a loss and we are back to bargain basement transfer window.

If we can't beat an awful, already relegated Sheff United and make it one win in 7, then Ange deserves to be sacked.

I Missed us any form of euro footy terribly. So will be great to be in it what comp. Hopefully it will be europa.

Hopefully players will see the importance of getting a result on Sun. On paper a formality but a no pressure game for sheff so anything could happen. Players just need to focus and we should win.

I think we will be fine on Sunday and get the point we need at the least. Difficult to overstate how schitt they are.

I wouldn’t be shocked if United win it, as craaap as they are, City are a notch off their best and could have a bad day - I mean they lost a cup final to Wigan once

We only beat Sheffield United with a last minute winner at home

I’m sure anges winning mentality will help get us loser fans over the line

If it is the Europa league next season then that has an identical format to the CL, 8 group games, the last 2 in January. Positions 1-8 gives a bye from the first KO game.

The Conference league format remains the same

They've had the season I kind of thought we would have, having a good run or 2 in the cups, taking a while to adjust to the new manager but starting to find their feet by the end of the season. Instead it's been the exact opposite of that.

Ange got us out of the league cup as soon as possible - 41 game season.

Faaack knows what we will do if we confirm Europa on Sunday, minimum of 8 games in the group stage and the comp looks weak next year, the chances of us not being in the top 24 and therefore playing 10 games looks slender to me.

God knows how he is going to cope with at least 50 games next season

The League Cup exit is just another reason why his rant about the fans' mentality is wrong. I'm pretty sure most fans wanted us to 'win' a cup of any description including the LC, yet Ange goes and puts out a weak team and we go out at the first hurdle. He wants the fans to want to win as much as he does but didn't really show it in that competition, seemingly.

Can't sack players.

Many of us would agree that our mostly new look defence is not bad individually - VDV and Udogie are good young players, Romero can be erratic but mainly solid and a WC winner, Porro decent as well, Vicario very good for a new unheard of keeper and arguably our POTS. Yet we've conceded just as many goals as last season and that's been our biggest problem. Points more towards the manager than the players for us to upgrade a failing defence and still fall short defensively.
